Don't despair, we all have boring dreams sometimes. Dreaming that I'm late for work is very common to me, not so out there eh?
You might try the exercices that people recommend to remember dreams/dream more often. Possibly, you have more entertaining dreams, but your brain filter out the unrealistic ones as useless. If you get to remember more, you'd probably retain the enjoyable ones too.

I'd like to share with you all the results of a Dream Working. I'd start late at night by first taking a moderate to fairly high dose of opiates (as much for their effect of giving me very vivid dreams and I just really like them) then I would read a story by Lovecraft right before going to sleep.
The dream started with me standing in front of a ruined old castle under a mauve sky. The sky suddenly turned completely black with the arrival of an unseen "presence" (upon later examination I identified this as none other than The Black Man Himself, Nyarlathotep). This "presence" led me to a Temple. I entered the Temple and became aware of another unseen "presence" , this one had a decidedly female quality to it. (upon later examination I identified this one as Shub-Niggurath, the Goat with a Thousand Young) She compelled me to draw hundreds, maybe a thousand sigils all over the Temple floor "For the Children" she said. After doing this the dream ended. Basically this is an archetype of The Witches Sabbath, and as a result I was initiated into the 23 current that night. That's my conclusion anyway, feedback welcome.

Well, I'm glad you've found my dream interesting. I've been a pretty hardcore Thelemite deeply immersed in the 93 current, for about 5 yrs now. Well, as a result of that dream I felt initiated into the 23 Current (I got my Lovecraftian Magick to work) I took that dream as a sign to continue my journey into down this path and as a result have applied for initiation into the E.O.D and after that the T.O.T.O. 93 93/93

i assume you mean the Esoteric Order of Dagon (one of the two at least, not sure which is more active) and either the OTO Ordo Templi Orientis or the IOT the Illuminates of Thanateros... never heard of a group by the acronym of T.O.T.O.
i can confidently say those groups have nothing that you can't find right here in the Cult of Cthulhu.

Last night, when I stayed up until over 5am and had to wake up at 7.30, I managed to have a little dream.
I was in a seafood restaurant with all you Cultists (I didn't recognize your faces or anything but it felt like I was) and it was some kind of holy rite for you to have the $2 meal. I wanted all of us to have a $4 meal which was considered very blasphemous and you all started to hate me ;D
Interesting, I say!
(I didn't notice this thread before. The dream is amusing but definitely not significant enough for a thread of its own.)

I had a rather interesting dream tonight. (sex again ) I was in an ancient temple, merely roaming around, looking at everything but touching nothing, as I was not sure what to do there. Soon, the god Anubis came and asked what I was doing in his home. I apologised and asked if I could be his guest since I didn't know how to leave. He told me I could stay but must first come to his bed. I did, and made love to the death god. He was a good lover, but soon enough I saw that his grim power had taken hold of my body, and my flesh was drying and tightening around my bones. Soon I could hardly move and asked: "You will not let me leave, then?" And he said I was not to expect to leave, after asking to stay. He said he would now send me to the underworld, but call my soul back to my bones each time he fancied having company. There was a lot more details in the dream but long posts are boring ;D

I've always wished i could do that whole dream walking or controling your dreams thing but it never happens(guess one has to try...damn it : perhaps someone with knowledge on that subject could start a thread and Nox can pass around some opiates ;D well any ways like i said i cant seem to do anything but experiance my dreams and i've tried reading before bed to influence them but my dreams just float into whatever. Now its rare that my dreams even remotly tie directly into interest in my life such as music, TV or books they usually are strange places which i seem young and out for adventure yet a few weeks after joining this furom i had a peculiar dream.....the whole thing is fuzzy so i will recount what little i can.... there was four other people with me one i recognized as my girlfriend the others seemed like very close freind but i did not recognize them. so we are in some sorta storage room, its dimly lit from sporadiclly burnt out lights high in the ceiling, all around us are large crates on pallets some covered with tarps others nailed shut some opened, as we wander through we uncover what looks like a huge crate, larger than the rest in shape it is covered in what looks like thick greenish black slime but when we touch it we find it very hard like stone. we begin talking about the odd thing when someone mentions the name CTHULHU and the slimy crate flashes with light and the slime seems liquid agian for a second then...nothing. we say His name agian and it happens the same everytime we say the Dreaming GOds name the crate glows with green light. we keep messing with the thing and a fear creeps in me not merely because of the CTHULHU crate but we seem to be being watched and as i look around i see another Slime covered structure this one is about 15 feet tall and like a cone shape small at top wide on bottom.... i dont mention it to anyone and we've now started to circle the Thing and chant "CTHULHU! CTHULHU! CTHULHU!" as the slime glows brighter and swirls witth movement. i awoke soon after with a sense of fear like i just dodged a bullet or ya know just narrowly avoided harm, needless to say this dream has remained in my head as one of my favorites i just wish i could step into the Mythos world more often during dreams.

That sounds a lot like the Great Race of Yith which Lovecraft describes in "The Shadow out of Time"... check the Alien Races thread in the Lovecraft section for more info.

Yes exactly when i awoke thats what i began thinking but what puzzles me is the fear i felt from it rather than the Cthulhu crate (which still seemed frightening if it were to break free) the crate seemed more like one of his spawn than the deity itself also

I had an INSANE dream last night. I dreamt I had a magic wand and I was running around firing spells at UFOs and cannons and I was making things levitate like: beach balls, dogs, my sister, tea cups, noodles and desert spoons. I don't think you can get more weird than that.

Yeah, dreams seldom disappoint when it comes to not making sense ;D
Can you remember, when you made things levitate, did you levitate them the whole time they were in the air or did they keep flying once you had "activated" them.
Not sure why i ask, i just have this picture of such a dream in my head.
At least your dreams are not boring ;D

Has anyone tried entering the dream lands. I have tried multiple times, and never really gotten close. Or at least not to my memory, however I'm sure if i did i would remember. I want to try using some sleeping pills, over a period of a couple days, just to see if i can make it with deep slumber. That is what is said to be a pre-requisite for entry, deep slumber, mental toughness and magical/ spiritual toughness.

This is kind of an odd one, I had this dream last night at my girlfriends house.
I am in a chamber with some other people, I don't know who they are and some are wearing masks, while others just have a burlap bag pulled over their heads. There is a woman on a rickety old wooden chair, she is nude and also has a bag pulled over her head. A man wearing the mask of a woman is writing on her stomach in a furious and frantic manner. The things he writes make no sense to me. He then looks back toward the group and says "Uhn Dallach ung joa". The group begins to chant this.
Sometimes when I am dreaming my real self will try and open my eyes, making me temporarily blind in the dream. I can't really explain it but this is what I think happened here.
Anyways, when I can see again I am no longer in the chamber. I am on some type of plain that seems to be made of leather. In front of me there is a gargantuan skinless wolfs head. When the wolf opens its mouth you can see a man and a woman strapped to the top and bottom of the inside of the wolfs mouth. They are naked and wearing blindfolds. There mouths are closed and sort of "crusted over" with something. When the wolf closes its mouth it was understood by the group that the man and woman were forced to have sex.
When the wolfs head reopened an infant that leaked sand from its mouth and eyes plopped to the ground out of a hole in the wolfs neck. This went on for some time until my girlfriend woke me up.
I guess she thought I was saying "A dog named Joe" over and over. I think it was probably the chant from my dream. She said that she was scared because her music box randomly went off and played 3 notes even she had not touched the thing in over a week.
Pretty messed up dream.

Sometimes when I am dreaming my real self will try and open my eyes, making me temporarily blind in the dream. I can't really explain it but this is what I think happened here. This happens to me often too. Either that, or I'm sleepy or paralysed in the dream. I think it's because if I don't sleep deeply enough I feel my body and it is asleep.

Been on anti depressants for some weeks now.Took some Lexapro and Seraquil together 4 hours after having taken Seraquil earlier. It was kind of awesome.I went outside of my body for the first time in a long time.
At first the pull was scary but I yielded to it.I was just flying around a dark area with no ground until I hit some cave like area. The inhabitants who were gathered in this cave like area were dressed funny and looked two dimensional which kinda creeped me out. They had hoods and pointy shoes and were small and thin people...kinda like elves but I guess they were Earth elementals.I was one too dressed like them in dark grey and two dimensional. The canyon we were in looked funny because the walls of the mountain on both sides weren't made of rock but this weird gas-like substance that was cyan with blue and red lines parallel each other running through it.
So I flew around a bit more and there were black holes nothing was supposed to pass through.I guess this whole realm was a closed area or system and I didn't like the idea of being stuck with the earth elementals so I took flight though them regardless of warnings.
Inside was just blackness with patches of violet that seemed to attack in weird block like patterns. It felt like it was tearing the essence of me away...but I did not care.I stayed there for a bit only to find myself stuck/locked in place...boring.There was another side beyond this which I was determined to get to so I flew through despite this vacuum trying to pull me in.So I pushed through and made it to the other side.
On the other side my body changed but so did the inhabitants I saw.The area I passed into through this dark window was the same as the last except there were nude blonde women yet still quite beautiful. Not for me to complain despite the fact I prefer darker women.Oddly I became one of them except I was still in 2d and they werent. They spoke a language I could not understand and I responded in a language I could not understand.I decided to fly into another black hole to see what else there was...a jaring noise woke me up.
Someone was taking a shower and it jarred me because my body's senses were heightened...bummer!Hope next time is even more interesting. Not eager enough to od on meds though.
Keep wondering why my body was flat like a two dimensional drawing though.Next time I wanna leave my body in the form of something abstract.

oK new one.Had a dream after around 4 in the morning I was a math student in some strange realm.Everything was shades of blue.Without a doubt I hate math and so I was worried about haviing an assignment. So supposedly things start rumbling. There was an earthquake and thousands died so I hoped my teacher was one of them.Ends up the Earthquake was caused by some demon in a black cloak with multiple mouth.A figure much like Death came to dispell the figure causing chaos but the cloked multi-mouthed figure fled and got away. The remaining people wondered why the pillars collapsed which allowed all of this to happen. It ends up the suspect that fled had knocked out the guardians of the pillar.
Nonethless I was glad since I had not done my math homework. It seems the dream took place in a realm far detached from Earth almost like it was astral.Again I had od'ed on antidepressants before sleep. It seems my overdoses connect me to the astral world.Strange !

Sequence of nightmares. The first involving the computer acting shitty, the second involving rape, the third involving having to murder someone to defend myself, the fourth involving a discussion on this forum if you can believe that where someone called me out for saying I prefered the OG to the AO (this one particularly strange) and the fifth not being able to live up to the expectations of my father and mother.
So far the first has come true.Computer has messed up on me.The fifth is already a reality.
So I was wondering, how much of dreams are premonitions and how much of dreams are simply hidden fears?I have no doubt taken the stance I will not do anything today.I will not draw, eat only when necessary and avoid entertainment.Feel I may have to wait this out.Am I just being paranoid or is viewing dream as premonition valid?
Note-Im starting to feel Im the only person who dreams around here lol ;D

Well, not all dreams are interesting! My only remembered dream of yesterday was about being late for university. Next time I dream something intriguing I'll post it, I promise!
Premonitions: The materialistic approach would be to say that your sleeping mind, free of inhibitions, can draw extra conclusions from the information you already have, but it is also contaminated with imaginary elements so while the pointers can be quite useful, do not take them literally. Most divination techniques would also agree that any prediction is symbolic and it's up to your intelligence to know how it applies to your life.
