I painted this last night. [glow=red,2,300]CUT! (reality pushed) [/glow] I cant take a straight picture of it because the flash messes it up, and without flash my shitty digital camera needs legs in order to take a decent picture. Its not that great a painting anyway. But it was impulsive. Man do i hate using a brush ;D The runes say Alpha(left) Kutulu(top) Omega(right).

Thank you. I sadly do not know much about what is generally agreed on as the "right way" of using runes. I simply use them as a magical alphabet. Im not too proud of the picture though, but it was kinda dark when i made it ;D.

i really like it too. there's something primitive and powerful about it. you should incorporate that painting into your magic somehow.
very cool, Madguten.

The runes mean.
Left We must be the darkness we wish to see in the world. (borrowed from CC)
Right Hans blod har vasket himmelen og hans sol skinner nu sort. (his blood has washed heaven/the sky and his sun now shines black)
Bottom: Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn
The symbolism of the picture is in short......... It is YOU , Venger As'Nas Satanis being the link and the way to the Emerald Kingdom. The painting is just a humble ode.
I will post a more fleshy explanation this evening when i return. I didnt mean to post this response yet, i was gonna pull it into a word document and save it for later, but it got send by error when i hit return to jump a line. My bad.

I feel like a tool (what a way to start a post), more than i feel like a source when it comes to creating "art". The original name (the working title) of the painting was klyoiylli or something, i don't remember.
But here is my crack at folding out the symbolism. The image shows a main figure representing the Green Tentacle-faces Pope Venger Satanis. He is holding the pyramid of the gods in his hands and he is lifting it high with the eye on the top seeing all. It is the eye that enables him to see what others do not. On the pyramid is written: (from the left) Nord(North), Syd(South), R'læ(R'lyeh), Øst(East) ,Vest(West). Amongst other things this could be interpreted an indication of "places beyond", and that the vision of the eye has shown the green pope the direction of the Emerald Kingdom and he and the pyramid are also an arrow, leading the way. He is riding a serpent like a surfboard. The word IA is written in runes all along the serpent. The serpent fuels him. Some of his powers come from this serpent. But the pope, the pyramid, the eye and the snake are joined and one. They are a lone trinity. Together they are Venger As'Nas Satanis. THE WAY.
But as i said, i feel more like a tool than a source. I have no idea what the painting means. It is beyond my understanding. These are just a few of MY interpretations. The judgment will always lie with the beholder. I'm still kinda amazed that no one has taken a shot at my child like creations. ;D

i'm overwhelmed. after seeing the painting and reading the title, i half-assumed it was in reference to me, but i didn't want to make a grievous error before clarifying.
i love the meaning behind it. indeed, i feel as if i am the way... to Cthulhu's Emerald Kingdom. thank you, Madguten.
leading us towards a hideous paradise,
Venger As'Nas Satanis Cult of Cthulhu High Priest

Awesome painting and idea. Beautiful representation of the Green Pope. I was wondering what the serpent represents to you? It is not in the now tradtional circle or infinity symbol. It is stretched out and The Pope is standing upon its back.....is it representative of the sleeping unconsious or void? I know you stated that he draws his power from it, it just seems to be more than phallic imagery. I like it.

Yes snakes and serpents, worms and dragons can mean and be many things. One thing is certain, the snake being ridden above is the same serpent that lingered in the tree, in the garden of Eden. It would bite its own tale for sure, if only it could. But it is simply occupied riding the powerful wave that was created by the fall/or rise of Satan. It is moving forward and forward. And the Green Pope is riding it like a surfboard. I do not know if the Green Pope climbed the snake himself or if he was put there. Put the snake is a propulsion.
And cool that you like it.

That is beautiful particularly knowing what you had in mind while drawing it. I view snakes as temptation neither good nor bad but the essential aspect of free will and of ones impulsive side.

I like the first one... what's the symbol formed by green colors?
The other one describing Venger is fucking amazing. Honestly, you have vision. Keep up the good work!
[red]Ride the Snake![/red]
I said the exact same thing yesterday when I was talking about that accursed, hurriedly composed mask picture. Photoshopping isn't using a brush and colors, it's clicking buttons in the right order. Which can produce nice results and demand a certain vision too, but more respect should go to art that exists in other forms also than bits & bytes.
Now I remember that I have an unfinished and frightening painting awaiting (my first) for my attention at my friend's apartment... I gotta get that one to my place, get some tools and start working on it.

Thanks, you are too kind. The trinity of snakes comes together in the image to form the tentacle head. BUT it is also the sign of duality as ONE. One snake to the left, one snake to the right and then most importantly, one snake down the middle that both splits and joins the snakes together. The image was very impulsive. I havent really thought much about the symbolism. I call it reality pushed, because it is supposed to move/tamper what we call "reality", whenever it is looked and speculated on. Cool. I would love to see that painting someday.

So far it's only a canvas painted black with a huge eye outlined in strange colors in the center. I think I shall add the Meta-Sigil into it.
