[glow=orange,2,300]The Electric Lucifer[/glow]
The album is a trip
The intelligence of the universe is in effect
This is an electric revelation of waves
War in heaven never sounded better
This album is not for everyone today. This dude is not for everyone today. The Electric Lucifer is a work of mad genius. It is a electronic psychedelic "music album" made by a fellow named Bruce Haack back in 1968-69 (released 1970). Now Bruce was no boring individual. He had a somewhat isolated childhood. And turned out to become one of the great musical renegades of our time. He pioneered the electronic music scene. He even created his own electronic analog instruments. Weird ones too.
This is from Wikipedia:
Despite not having any formal knowledge in electronics, Haack built his own musical instruments, like "The Magic Wand," "The Dermatron" (a synthesizer that was played by leading an electrical current through physical contact with another person) and the "People-odion." He also composed music under the artist names of "Jackpine Savage" and "Jacques Trapp."
In case you missed it, here it is again ;D :
"The Dermatron" (a synthesizer that was played by leading an electrical current through physical contact with another person)
That means he is playing the synth via human touch using electrons!
Holy crap ;D
Anyway. Bruce Haack experimented as much with phycodelic drugs as he did with music. Unfortunately i can only find the opening track from the album on youtube. Its a good track but it is really the kind of album one should hear all the way through.
Electric to Me Turn
(from The Electric Lucifer)
Here is an a little video with some talk and footage about Haack
One of the reasons i write about Bruce Haack here is because i think that he is as much of a visionary as Giordano Bruno, or Lovecraft. Hmmm.... I should make a thread about Bruno someday. Anyway, i think that such people are very inspiring
LIVE
EVIL
LIVED
DEVIL
EDIT:
This album is a freakin ritual.
