the free PDF of Cthulhu Cult is currently being hosted at www.key64.net
just go to articles, right hand side of the page, scroll down, and click on the red tentacled creature painting.
you are more right than you know. while a school, society, or system is incredibly helpful to the individual magician, the work itself should remain the focus.

I just got my Simon Nec a couple of days ago. I am so glad to have this book in my possession again!
A few notes on my reading thus far:
It is very interesting, reading this from the point of view of an "evil sorcerer," for (as most well know) the text deals largely with the formulae for keeping the A:O locked away. The book is a handbook for servants of the Elder Gods, however, it has a subliminal current underneath the primary text. This undertone is much more sinister in its general delivery, as it seems to say that the Elder Gods (being forgetful) are destined to ultimately lose. It seems the A:O never forget, while the Elder Gods get sleepy; while the Cults of Death are described as not being particularly powerful, yet Abdul Alhazred is obviously quite fearful of meeting with them; on the one hand, the magick of the Elder Gods is thought to vanquish the demons of the abyss, yet it is these very demons who, in the end, have victory over Alhazred, servant of the Elders. This is not even to mention the obvious role-reversal which is exhibited in the text. There is quite a lot to digest within its pages, and, personally, I do not think that it should be taken lightly. I am not of the conviction that this is a mere tome of "chaos magick." I am not saying, either, that I believe it is 100% credible, but at least more credible than its harshest critics would have us to believe.
This is all to say that the Necronomicon CAN and SHOULD be used by servants of the A:O, however it is necessary to devise and organize separate rituals which serve to exalt the A:O instead of the Elders. Servants of the A:O will make most use of the MAGAN and URILIA texts, although there is significant insight to be gleaned from the words of Alhazred in other segments as well, such as in his Testimonies.

I'd like a copy of that 600+ page Necronomicon if someone can please email it to me. I've recently been comparing several different versions I've managed to obtain. The more the better. Thanks.

Please email the Necronomicon to me at lord.astennoth-libertine@hotmail.com
Also, if anyone has a copy of Donald Tyson's Necronomicon feel free to email that to me too as I can't yet afford it (when I get the money I'll be investing in the Necronomicon Tarot).

I am doing that with Howlers; TEMPLE OF ABZU tarot decks. It is part of a full year "workout" i am doing. Tonight i dreamt i was being chased by a oversized, yet not extremely huge, house spider all through my old apartment which was abandoned and empty in the dream. The spider was about the size of my hand and it was freakingly fast and determined to get me, i couldnt scare it off and i didnt want to kill it, i think it might have gotten me in the end. The card next to my bed tonight (between the pages of a notebook) was card 10, SUNRISE OVER THE DESERT/TERRORS FROM THE ULTIMATE VOID. here is the card www.blackalchemy.net/gematria/cards/gallery/pages/th_010.html[glow=red,2,300] IA! IA! KTULU FTAGN![/glow]
