I have come to see the Horned God/dess, Shub-Niggurath (Baphomet), in the inverse Pentagram at the centre of the Satanic Trapezoid, as the Hypostasis of Nyarlathotep. By Him/Her Nyarlath infests the Human lifewave with an Alien current, by acting as an Incubus/Succubus, or Astral lover of Humankind.
He/She is also the Sabbatic Goat/Ram of Mendes who magically sired Ramesses the Great. As Lord/Lady of the Witches,
It functions as the Cultic Manifestation of Nyarlathotep, the Soul of the Old Ones, Who is also the Messenger of the Black Flame of Outer Darness kindled within. Nyarlathotep is the key to Yog-Sothoth, the Door that gives the Old Ones ingress (via Shub-Niggurath) from the four cardinal directions:
North (Tsathoggua/ Belial/ Balata-Mada), West (Cthulhu/Leviathan/Abaivovinu), South (Cthugha/Saitan/Ia-idon) & East (Hastur/Lucifer/Lukiftias).

When I identify with my Body, I am a mortal child of Shub-Niggurath, the Black Goat of 1000 Young.
When I identify with my Ego & Shadow Selves, I am a reconciled conjunction of Hastur & Cthulhu,
the rival Bright and Dark emanations of Yog-Sothoth, the All Knowing.
When I identify with my Deep Soul, I am an Avatar of Nyarlathotep, the Crawling Chaos between the planes.
And when I know Who I really am, I am One with Azathoth, the Supreme Daemon Sultan at the Centre of Infinity!

As for Shub-Niggurath's lover Hastur, the Yellow King, He resonates with the Solar-God Horus-Apollo (Ra-Hoor-Khuit).
Horus (Helios) is a Bright magical mask of His own Dark, Dionysian Twin Set-Typhon (Nyarlath) the Black Night Sun?
Hastur is the Avenging Messenger of Madness who protects the devotees of the Outer Gods by destroying their Minds.
In this He has a Hindu parallel in the Yellow Goddess, Bagalamukhi, Who likewise destroys enemy Minds for Her devotees.
Horus/Hastur also fights the rival power of Apophis/Cthulhu in the same way Set did before His Fall & assimilation to Apophis.

In His/Her complex all inclusive form, Baphomet is not just an Earthy Goat, but combines Fire brand, bird wings,
goat face and legs, fish or reptile scales, and an anthropomorphic Hermaphrodite torso and arms.
This esoteric God form thus combines the elemental symbols of Fire, Air, Earth, Water and Spirit,
as a manifestation of the All One and None (Yog-Sothoth and Azathoth) that contains the powers of Five
Great Old Ones:- Cthugha, Hastur, Shub-Niggurath, Cthulhu and Nyarlathotep.
It represents the philosophical PAN, the All Devourer and All Begetter.
In It's Egyptian manifestation as the Goat/Ram of Mendes, it is sometimes depicted as a winged Ram or
Goat-Man with four heads representing the Four Elemental Lords; namely Ra-Atum (Fire), Shu (Air),
Geb (Earth) and Water (Osiris).
Baphomet is furthermore the complex totality of Samael-Lilith combining Powers of Satan (Fire),
