Hello all,
I am a college student taking a humanities course called Survey of Horror, in which we discuss monsters in modern horror and assess where our fears of them stem. I have been tasked with finding a supernatural figure not discussed in our curriculum in which to present as a final project. As a fan of H.P. Lovecraft, I have chosen one of his most well know figures; Cthulhu. I am curious if anyone here knows of any sources outside of Lovecraft's writings of Cthulhu on the subject? Also if there were any figures that hold any similarity to the Great Old One? I thank you all in advance for any information that may aid me in my discussion and presentation. I also apologize in advance if my thread is inappropriate for this portion of the forum.

Brian Lumley wrote good books too ; What's amazing is that he was born 9 month after Lovecraft's death...
