The strength of will! This is for what we should train, right? It is about forcing the events and oneself, to impose what we want. It is one of the three pillars of the Magic, with the intention and the gnosis. Good! And now, I suggest studying a little what that is and why we need it.
It needs motivation ; we want this because we expect pleasure and satisfaction from it, so we use our energy to reach this purpose.
There are obstacles, but they are always in us. It is a expense of energy, we would prefer to make nothing. It is a question of forcing to act, note this important point: we use (we waste) a lot of energy or will to fight against ourselves.
Now, consider this example: you are alone in a burning house and you must go out as quickly as possible. Do you need to think before acting, are you lacking will to rush towards the closest exit? There is no conflict in you, you do not need to make efforts, to motivate you nor to act.
Other example, you are a healthy single young man and you meet the sexy girl of your dreams, apparently alone. Need for motivation? Do you feel a little tired or do you want to leave ?
In other words in these two examples, you are not divided, you have no several "I" in conflict to know what to do. The most interesting is that in these two cases you have no effort to make. The will is 100% there, it comes quite naturally and in the right direction, quite ready to permit you to influence the reality, your reality.
You can find yourself other examples, every time we know whom we are, the action is obvious and easy. Of course, there are sometimes external problems to be solved which impose a reflection on the means to use and how to use them. But there is no lack of will, and no remorse after.
So it is proved that the need to make efforts is simply the sign that you are not the only one "I" but that there is a fight between your various "I". And that this objective, succeed in being the only one "I", has to be your priority.
To be, or not to be, that is the question...
