So... I watched the last Twilight movie a couple of days ago. Has anyone else seen it as well as watching the other movies before the last one? If so, without giving any spoilers, what did you think?
With this last one my view of the entire series has changed. I used to think it would make a great movie series with some editing but now that I've seen the last one I'm glad I tolerated the 'romance'. I've never seen a movie that caused such a 'shock and awe' response in it's audience nor one that so suddenly becomes so merciless brutal.

After the first movie, I lost interest. I gave it a go, a friend urged me to watch it. After sparkling vampires and sonic baseball. I was done.
How was it?

CS 5 Stars. The thing about the first one is that the series has a brutal streak that comes into sharper focus as the series progresses. So, in the first one the brutality of the kiling of the 'Tracker' is only shown through Bella's half-conscious, hazy viewpoint. In the last one, it's completely unmasked.
Seeing it in the theater was worth it, just for the audible gasps of disbelief that rippled through the audience.

In the end, the protagonists are revealed to be just as brutal and if not MORE vicious as the antagonists, but consciously and for different reasons.

Hmmm. Sounds interesting enough. I'll check it out and post thoughts.
