I've spoken to a lot of people and discovered three forms of spirituality in people to my observation.

The first are the more traditional type whom are transcendental.They tend to feel things in the spirit,a great uplifting and a travel to the great beyond.Having been there at one point in my occult life,it is amazing but what one main feature is u are there,inside.There spiritual strength lies in the conviction in thier belief and the exploration of worlds beyond the regular eye.They can easily feel what may occur and be to alarming accuracy.Transcendentaalist are close to the universe or to gods.

The second is what we see in people heavy into quantum mechanics and the workings of the ordered and disorderd universe.Here things get interesting.Generally we assume science and spirituality are seperate but they are not.The difference form the scientist and transcendental spirit is the scientist isnt in the journey,rather he observes the journey.Rather than riding the wave,he watches and anylizes.Having observed a quantum paradigm,when I really was into what I read,the continued thought on how things worked,how it related to magic was just as if not more trance inducung than my transcendental period.We can say to some degree the scientist is god when he is in the process of observing much as the transcendentalist is when they are ascending.Their spiritual strength is seeing the way things interact on a smaller level to create something larger.Scientists are more distanced allowing a ranged view of the world.

The third wheel of the spirit is nihilism.But let us not mistaken the normal I dont care person for spiritual.The willed nihilist who contemplates reality and the absense is in itself spiritual as well.Unlike the previous two,the nihilist finds spirit by there not being a universe.The universe is not real,I am not real,there is no spirit,there is no god.The nihilist cultivates the nothingness necessary for their spiritual evolution.Whereas the transcendentalist communes with spirits,and the physicist observe the world in a godlike fashion (piece by piece),the nihilist ultimately annihilates him self from the equation allowing the black and primordial void to be experienced yet paradoxically at the same time ,not experienced (as hee ceases to be as nothing matters).His spiritual strength is in not caring.I too have explored this and made use of it in my magic obsessed period.

Then there's the people the defy classification within any sort of these three...

I feel like I share things in common with all three of these types, and at the same time do not fully identify with one.

Classification can only be a tool, a map, but never the actual territory.

I can say "there are three types of people in this world, those who like Soccer, those who like football, and those who like basketball". You may like all three, or you may like none, but in the end, classification is just a label (and a very limiting one) that we put on people. And while it is an interesting observation, does classifying people by the sports they like make me any better at sports? Does labeling people spiritually do anything to better my spirituality?

Here's the forms of spirituality I see in people:
Spirituality that works because the person is happier. Spirituality that doesn't work because the person is worse off because of their beliefs.

The reaosn why I classified these three were to bring a fresh perspective to things.I chose to present my ideas in this way because many people would not equate scientific paradigms or even a lack of belief in anything with spirituality at all.This is the reason I chose to analyze it from this standpoint.

If there are more,then I shall surely add them.But for the sake of this discussion it is far too simplistic to say theres spirituality that works and doesn't.Thats an understood given.Pass that point as we pry deeper we see things aren't always what they seem,hence the purpose of this topic.Also I never stated you had to fit in just one category.Thus I left it open ended.

Classification I feel in this sense is a very necessary tool to prevent oversimplification.

what do you guys think about this? is spirituality and happiness linked? is happiness being too content with our prison? how can spirituality make us more effective warriors?

The spirituality is a tool with which to view our happiness.Upon true atunement in all of its potential forms,no happiness comes of it.On the contrary,there is a deeper longing.

The mystic strives to drift and surf the waves between reaities.The scientist seeks more knowledge,more answers,because no theory is good enough.The nihilist gravitates further toward nothingness. *The artist whom I forgot to mention finds their art is not as good as it could be and the D&D type rpg fanatic whom I did not mention seeks a greater and more epic adventure.

If you are happy because of your spirituality then you have failed.The spirituality is to strive toward happiness yet know that in this sleeping state and vicious world,it will not be found
