Yeah this is grade A unconstitutional bullshit right here! They voted on it last night at 6:58 (their time) and it appears to have a 2/3 majority in the House of Representatives. It will soon go to the senate and then to the president's office before the Supreme Court. It still can be shot down many times, but I feel that the word needs to be spread for the benefit of the people and so, spread it far and wide! rt.com/usa/news/obama-detention-veto-defense-853/ |

I'm not american, but everyday online i speak to you lot and hear your' news. I have watched obama go from one of the most popular presidents in recent history to a hated asshole, for good measure to it would seem. The thing is the american people always seem ready to rally at a cause and take control of their country. this stuff concernes me for fear it could happen here. Our country intrduces laws all the time that cut back on freedom only to bemet with outrage and disgust, but noone does anything, they're are no protest no petitions no riot in the streets.

I don't think it will be approved. Not with the election so close.
When the people have been pushed too far, then they will be read to take action.
Also, remember that revolution happens after some initial progress, when things are looking up - not when things are looking their worst. Seems like a paradox, but it's really all part of a cycle.

Indeed! I've hypothesized in the past that perhaps every nation needs a good revolution from time to time in order to keep things fresh and keep the rights of the people in place... Just an "educated guess" as hypotheses often are mind you, but we may not be to far off at this point.

The internethas changed the game. it's already been the means for several revolutions in africa as well as countless social revolutions. 2012 will not likely be the end of the world, just the end of the world as we know it. hopefully anyway. I'm sick of waiting to roll and torch a cop car.

I know that right now, due to Bush's patriot act instated shortly after 9/11 when he was president, ANYONE viewed as a terrorist, both domestic and foreign, do NOT have to be given any rights. They can just be locked up, with NO trial.
It is a matter of time before we get someone who will abuse this power.

Damn Right! We're being sold the idea of an America where will all get to live in peace with all our comforts & quite with a police force & military that we pay to keep it that way. Disturbing that comfort level causes revulsion or worst, FEAR.
We NEED to up the level of discomfort in this country a little if you ask me. We've successfully shown we're experts at avoidance & exclusion for far to long. It's time to stop looking & stare back! (lol, I just coined that I hope)

I'm all for disrupting programming, especially that which brings man down to his knees...BUT, I'd rather see ignorant Americans learn what it is they are rallying against. This is the disinformation age, and its painfully obvious to me that many modern 'Patriots' have a poor interpretation of both government and law in this nation.

Well, I've been on line every night, 6hrs a night & haven't found one thing that shows this Law is dangerous. I mean I've read dozens blogs telling me this Bill is bad & that the worlds gonna end in martial Law, yet out of all the hype, I've found not one quoted line from the actual Bill. Even the one you posted Cora reads like it was a table of contents, for the actual Bill lol. Where the fuck can I find the actual Bill?

anything that might change our legal system wont pass or be voted on during election season, since its outcome will, in this case, lose votes from those against it and possibly change the results. However, once whoever is elected is, and if they're in favor, you can bet it will come to the floor, as being elected is no longer standing in the way of personal agenda

You are at least smart enough to see the tyranny for what it is, and you are angry about it. You know things are bad and getting worse, and you know that this is not good for you or for your country. You see something dark and menacing on the horizon though you do not intellectually understand what it is. If you try to communicate to others and warn them of this looming threat you are mocked. You may think that now you should ponder the question of how do you stop what is coming. This would be a waste of your time. To spread the word is also a waste of your time. If people do not see this threat on their own they will never see it until it touches their lives personally, of coarse at this point it will no longer be a threat on the horizon it will be a grim reality that cannot be denied. There is nothing you can do to stop any of it. The world is rudderless. No one is at the helm. There is no captain of this ship and there never will be. Every empire that has ever existed has fallen and so will this one.
Now you have to understand why things are this way.
