My father and stepmother want me to move in with them for income and safety reasons. You see, my stepmother is very sick right now and he would like me to be there to care for her. Also, my father wants me to chip in for just half of the bills. I told him that I want that in writing in a signed contract! (Fool me once, shame on you...)
The real problem this creates is that I perform daily rites every night, and as far as they know, I'm still a Christian! (Long time gone baby!) I was thinking that perhaps I could perform them in the astral temple that I never use or maybe simply perform them when everyone is asleep? I dunno yet, but I've already discussed it with my wife and we agreed that no on than 9 months regardless of what happens...

Do you both intend to move in with them for 9 months or just you? I can understand that you care for your parents, and would like to help out but you also can't put your own life on hold.
What say you?

That has been my primary argument for some time now. But speaking of which, time is running out which is why I said something here. My father wants to move me out this weekend! However, from a financial standpoint, it would help us out until we get our own place again. I made damn sure that the man was aware this was in no way permanent! In any case, perhaps I should simply perform my rites quietly at night or maybe in the astral? That's my primary problem with this...

I see, well if you are warranted privacy I don't see the issue here unless you are being loud enough for them to hear, and it becomes an issue to argue about (differences of faith), then it would cause more of a headache for you.

In which case, it's probably better that I keep things on the DL if I do perform physically... I could just wrap it in with meditation?

If the move is a sure thing, then I would suggest finding some place nearby but private (like maybe a nature park, or just a big copse of trees in an abandoned lot) and performing your rites there. This is what I do, and I currently live with my folks as well, but they know my religion and don't judge me for it (other than the occasional snarky comment, but at least they call me to the door when the Mormons/Jehovah's Witnesses come by and let me unload on them!) )

If you feel like it is a bad idea to tell ur parents about ur beliefs then it probably is. But then again why should you feel bad about something you like? I'm sure in time you can also find a new place to perform your rites, I wouldn't stress over it too much, there's always opportunity for creativeness.

The Tarot actually advised me that this move would be good. I would be sacrificing something physical (my privacy) for somethings spiritual (I do not yet understand.) Below is an excerpt from a previous conversation I had regarding this particular divination.
"The Tarot is advising me that this challenge could be good for me when looked in the right light. It also advised me that I should consider my next move carefully and to always remember the failings of my father..."
So with that in mind, lets do this! I will find a place and will adapt!

I just had a weird thought! Should I ask the Mormon missionaries to help me move? I mean, I know they'd do it, but am I comfortable with them seeing my coffee machines, my more arcane literature, or the toy box?

I would suggest packing your no no items yourself, why expose movers to your private goods? Why create a conflict when none is necessary?
The move could be good for everyone, but there will be challenges and obstacles ahead. Remaining self-aware could be beneficial for everyone if you manage yourself accordingly.

Right! As my favorite "positive death metal group" Hatebreed once sang, "If I control myself, I control my destiny!" Actually, I could use more positivity in my life! I should buy (or pirate) some of their albums soon! Listen to it while working online... Music is good for mental programming after all! (Kind of off topic, but just had that thought.)
