Throwing away the bible is a bit too extreme.
Instead why not get the proper real translations or make proper translations of the scrolls and other materials to make the BIBLE more truthful and therefore by default make it a more truthful religion.

Cs said this idea is preposterous, the religion and its texts are already established.

I don't think the texts are already fully established as such.
