www.blogtalkradio.com/theooze/2011/09/22/2-years-celebration--venger-satanisYes, T.C. Downey (Beast Xeno) has invited me to co-host one of the many two year anniversary episodes of The Ooze, the Left Hand Path talk radio show which he and I created and co-hosted the first year of its existence.
An hour of BX and VS. Now sure exactly what we'll talk about, but it should be interesting. That's tonight, 9pm eastern, 8pm central standard time. He'll probably be taking calls. Hope some of you guys listen in.

Jason and I will be there. I am looking forward to the reunion and hope that it's not filled with drama from the past.
Have fun!

Great request from Jason on his call in, was really excellent to hear three voices form the Old CoC, at the same time brought back memories to when I first joined The Cult of Cthulhu, just might have to double down, take a look at this beloved Cult again, and stay focused on the work, again Excellent.

It was a decent and civilized show. Shame that 45mins of the show discussed movies and kids. Far more interesting topics could have been covered. Funny how things play out, from April to now. The Dude comes in as the political assassin in the end, and King Calamari is surely amused.
The call in number was thrown out, and VS challenged any caller with the balls to address him directly. It was all friendly tongue-in-cheek fun. No Jerry Springer fun for the kiddies.
I was amused coming back in to a chat dialogue about the size of my balls, that was great.
Can you imagine the reality tv show with all the players accounted for? Hahah Drawn Together on crack.
I popped into SIN chat, Zach was hoping VS would pay it a visit to continue the dialogue.
VS, was the topic being discussed at the end in response to your recent video, LPH unity, or was it in a forum some place?
Some commentary was expressed that you changed your tune on the unification of the left-hand path, rather than one unification, the unification of small groups or factions. It was commented that it sounded very ONA, nexions, etc. *smirk*
-> 9:AO, the tentacles of Cthulhu...extensions of the one. <- just sayin'

I actually didn't get to listen to the last segments of this show until later. Venger, I like where your vision of Unification is going.
For now, it should be essential rather than formal. By this I mean, it should involve solidarity and productive exchange across the entire Left Hand Path, and this in no way requires groups to dissolve themselves into larger units, all formally join one group, or any of that.
Of course there will be those who cannot raise themselves above bickering; let the dead bury the dead. And there will be groups who over time become noticed as key players in this growing Unification, simply by the fact that they actually make some kind of helpful contribution -- ideas, art, exercises, teachers, physical/cyber infrastructure, whatever. Our group should strive to be one of those.
Then, as this healthy constellation of true practitioners develops, it can ultimately take an incarnate form to affect the flow of events, which will be nothing but the outer shell of its healthy, thriving community. But it will also be the true fulfillment of the LHP, and not just an outer shell, because at least to me, selfhood demands power in the world outside yourself.

I take no issue with networking between individuals, or groups. Solidifying all LHP'rs into one thing? That's what seems absurd to me (personally). Unifying for *what* exactly, when people don't even agree on the definitions and/or meaning of the LHP. What is the cause? What are LHPrs working towards in terms of a shared goal? I hardly see other LHPrs sharing my goals.
I think a call to arms, is unnecessary. People are already networking (and have been) for quite sometime. People choose their associations carefully, and group together when its mutually beneficial.
In terms of 'education', socializing, or forcing 'awareness' - how aware do people need to become? It's not as if LHP modalities haven't been around for a good while (even if its just the labeling). I find it unnecessary to impose my modalities on to others, people recognize a good thing when they see it - even if they don't have a taste for the label.
I see a lot of self-styled LHP'rs that refuse to forge diplomatic relations with what they label as RHP. I see a lot of unjustified bigotry and calling people slaves when that slavery has not been demonstrated.
Flow of events Dude, what events specifically? Can you elaborate?

I see a lot of unjustified bigotry and calling people slaves when that slavery has not been demonstrated. Forced awareness is a waste of time. It's one thing to attempt to awaken all that you meet; I promote this idea. But it's another entirely to try and force them into understanding what you are saying, doing, feeling, etc. Provide them with a shock if you want to, but if they still don't become "aware" of their sleeping state, then stop wasting your time and move on to the next person. There are many sleeping people, both in the RHP and LHP community. Many have been provided shock after shock after shock and still remain blissfully unaware. Some even falsely think that these experienced shocks somehow make them more evolved, or better, than others. This is rarely the case. I can live through many different shocks, but if I still have no grasp of my Self, my many "I's", or my reactions to challenging situations, how am I any more evolved than those that have not experienced these shocks? It is not the experience of the shock that makes you more aware; it is the response to it and how much it mires you down with negative emotions. To live through the shock, to come out of it only with bragging rights or pity parties, doesn't Work. Awake! Apsara Kamalli Esoteric Herald of the Old Gods Cult of Cthulhu

By flow of events I meant flow of historical events. Like you said, there's a lot of power in a mob. The wars, the recession, the laws.
But then, your objection is totally valid -- it could only function with at least minimal agreement, and it's fairly predictable that different LHPers would support different causes, but at least the ones who do agree could work together.
To those who say there needs to be some kind of LHP self-defense, I'm typically skeptical. But I think our mentality could lead the way forward in other areas.

In general, I thought the show was rather boring. I'm not a big fan of horror movies, so most of it I couldn't relate it. However, I thought it was great that the two of you had a civil conversation without drudging up the past. And, I thought it was great that there wasn't any drama, even when Priestess Cora thought she would call in to try and stir the pot.
Nice...

A change in attitude would change the entire political arena. This idea requires more thought and words than I have time for today (getting married in an hour).

Call it a test of the ranks, was it a superficial coming together or was there another underlying agenda? I remain skeptical. Of course there was an agenda... the celebration of the second year anniversary of The Ooze BTR show. Given the track record between Lord Satanis and TC, I can't imagine that TC really wanted to interact with Lord Satanis in a public arena. I could be wrong, but... Awake!
