out of the satanic groups out there, id really like to see this one thrive, even dominate the other groups .i had an idea, wanted to throw it out there...the reason the ONA has maintained a sinister reputation has been in part because of fear from the mainstream populace, mainly because of 2 reasons 1. underground, membership is secret, they could be anybody 2. the motherfuckers will kill you, they completely endorse it. Michael Ford used a murderer/cannibal to design his tarot cards {pretty crafty}. im not endorsing any illegal activities or suggesting friending murderers, perhaps a focus to convert the mentally challenged into the religion, as they have always had a reputation as having a foot in both worlds, some were automatically made into shamans because of their unusual outlook of reality. the detractors of the COC have you in a nice little conceptual "holding cell" in their minds, maybe its time to break that up, shake em up a little, make them a little more uncomfortable somehow....

Hmm, I like your ideas. My friend B'zin is a convicted murderer, and a schizophrenic to boot. Perhaps we should try looking for more like him.
Of course, the major flaw in your plan is that most people like that tend to spend a lot of time in institutions of some kind, be it psychiatric or correctional. I know when I first started writing Venger from prison, he had suggested the idea of a Cthulhian prison outreach program. Maybe I should look more into that.
Mmm... How the tentacled cerebrum begins to tick haphazardly once our thoughts transgress down the slimy path of insanity and instability.

Thanks for the suggestion, Dan. There is a long-term plan in place to create a sort of substitute for ONA-esque activities, in the form of underground boxing clubs and radical politics. It's not built in a day, though. Progress is, however, happening off the radar. Your idea really isn't bad...in the same way that Christ recruited lepers, sinners, and outcasts, maybe we can be the faith that extends a welcoming hand to the insane. We also seem to have the socially inept and the semi-literate handled, though I don't think that was intentional. I personally just tend to dismiss the ONA mystique as a bunch of macho posturing which, even if true, says nothing to me about real character. There's more to life than persevering through difficulty (admittedly important) and having no regard for other human beings (situational).

on a more practical level, if members awakening is the primary purpose of this group, maybe simpliefing the practice {4th way IS complex} to what works {suchh as Vengers interpretation, which is self awareness}, and then giving real-life benefits, ones the common man can appreciate. my aforementioned idea is one satanists have been using with a lot of success {Kenneth Anger used bobby Bu...whatever the hell his name was, the manson member responsible for doing the wetwork, do the guitar on Lucifer Rising, rather than Jimmy Page}...admit it, stuff like that adds to the mystique of the person doing it, does it not?

What's truly funny is that you think I'm joking.

i would agree with anybody that a persons model of satanism modeled completely around the "spooky, death, antagonistic,rebellious" types {most commonly seen} with NOTHING else, no acceptance of the OPPOSITES of these attributes, would be a shallow and unproductive religion, but the fact is that it is these attributes which initially draw the young would-be satanist in in the first place. --- In the last viodeo i watched of Venger Satanis, he had asked for criticisms, comments, that was the reason for me throwing my 2 cents into the pot, btw {hey, taking crazy people, screwing with them psychologically , and maybe pharmacologically, ALWAYS results in a bending of reality in the movies, so it has to work in real life too...haha}

Dan,
I know you've been observing my activities on the FB group - its similar to the 'nexions' out there, groups of people making outlandish claims, posting blogs, adding material to the memeplex. What power does ONA, as a cohesive thing, really have outside of the internet? I'll agree, its an influence on the psyches of internet readers - beyond that? I see nothing. Show me a single incident. A single piece of evidence to examine, and I'd be willing to co-sign on the idea that the Living Nexion, actually lives outside of internet word soup.

yeah, i agree, ONA lives in the minds of the folks reading it in books and on the net, im sure there has been a few who have taken the ideas and run with them, but it seemed to all but die out till recently. the COC is absolutely doing more, taking it farther, than the ONA ever has in the past {though it does look like they could well start being a presence nowadays, what with all the folks interested in the ONA}
