Ok seems like Anton LaVey gets talked about in here a bit but I have yet to see a thread about the greatest spiritual leader of Modern times Aleister Crowley. Aleister Crowley b.12 October 1875 – d.1 December 1947.
Born Edward Alexander Crowley, and also known as both Frater Perdurabo and The Great Beast, was an influential English occultist, mystic and ceremonial magician, responsible for founding the religious philosophy of Thelema. Through this belief he came to see himself as the prophet who was entrusted with informing humanity that it was entering the new Aeon of Horus in 1904, a time when old ethical and religious systems would be replaced.(yep taken from the old wiki to kick this off with abit of info on The Beast)
To me his book The book of The Law is the most influenical book i have ever read and it is the book that set me upon the path..oh and what a path it has been.. in search of self-knowldge and my True Will.
So how has everyone else here been affected by his writings?

A certain amount I will confess, but he is far from the only influence on my path... But I must give credit where credit is due!

This was the second occult book I read, after the Simon Necronomicon, almost twenty years ago. Influenced by? Yes, very much so, by both.
