"Out of the waters of NUN emerged a phallic-shaped hill-the primeval mound. This was the place upon which the first act of creation could occur. On this phallic hill, Atum enfolded his hand around his penis (demonstrating the union of opposites) and masturbated to an explosive orgasm, his seed igniting the birth of the Universe and all life from within it. From this fusion point, the Universe expanded, unfoldeding like a flower through many levels. In the minds of the ancients, this was how the material world became manifest."
This is the basic jist on how the ancients saw the world which also can be related to the creation myth of two mountains side by side representing the females knees and the rising sun as the baby coing out of the females womb, hence birth of the son/sun.
Can you see to the truth to these selective creation myths I have choosen as examples?
If you are struggling with this concept, I instruct you to slap your face a couple of times!!!
Back in those days, science, religion, psychology etc didn't really exist so they had to relate to nature to their everyday life.
Also imagine youself born in the a remote place and just living with nature, how would you interpret the sky, the mountains, the trees etc ec...see where I am coming from?
Fast foward to the Christains and there push forward...there are against sex, mnasturbation, symbology, other dieties, females in gerneral etc...so the creation myths are totally opposite to what they deem proper and decent.
So I wonder why creation myths and other myths got totally owned by the Church?
It is obvious.
In my opinion Creation Myths/Stories are one of the most important tools/aids we have as they represent a snapshot ie, a time capsule of how life once was and how those people saw the world around themselves and also a true reflection of us as a human society today and our thinking and internalization patterns.
It is up to you the individual to take this information and research it for yourself or not.
