Ok, this is the first video I've uploaded to the Directory of Awesome Posts. Not only is it a good deconstructive analysis of Satanism, it's also an accurate portrayal of the Cthulhu Cult through the politically active, sincerely self-examining, quantum lens of Nakhometh Law-hater.
Is the Venger praise as thick as R'lyehian ooze? Sure. Is that part of why I love this video? Of course. Is there possible danger in embracing that kind of ego-enhancing adulation? I've given it a little thought. If the subject is likely to sit on his ass for months on end while basking in the accomplishment reflected from another's eyes, then yes... such flattery should only be accepted at a distance. However, if the subject is moved to work that much harder, then I feel it's just peachy.
As I believe the latter to be the case, let me exalt our Visionary of the Nigrescent Feast wholeheartedly. Thank you, brother. I shall endeavor to do even more because of your encouragement.

Recognition, is an expression of having learned, vs. been educated by those being recognized. Does it boost the ego? I'm sure it does, and this isn't the first time I've been mentioned by name. I merely thank the person for having recognized my contribution, and continue to contribute. I recognize the person having given me credit in some way, shape or form, by thanking them for the recognition.
Could one sit and bask in the sense of accomplishment? I'm sure there are many that do, even when there is no merit to this false sense of self. Another distinction between ordinary and extraordinary man, the extraordinary man presses on in his work. The ordinary man, may feel that having his name in lights is the accomplishment.
