Ok over the weekend I decided on a new Training strategy!
Instead of 3 days a week I am going to train six days a week.
I know I can here it now,the collective GASPS and the 6 days a week are you mad? You'll over train!!
To qoute from "How to use a Barbell" by W.A.Pullum originally published in 1925.

Relative to the question of how often a man should practise, there is no hard and fast rule, some finding a regular daily programme produced the best results, others discovering they do better by missing a practice now and then.generally speaking,a rest from training once a week invigorates a man.
From "The Way to Live" By George Hackenschmidt published in 1908:
page46:
further on I shall give particulars of the various exercises, and I shall recommend my readers to map out a certian plan, according to which they exercise all the muscles groups twice on three or four days every week,or on six days,if time allows."
Page 97:
"Again,it might be said that no one can continue to perform these exercises everyday without "knocking oneself up"(his way of saying over training). To these I would reply, try it,and you will probably decide diffrently afterwards.
Ok now how can I avoid over training when training like this you might ask?
Easy:
Page 52 of The Way to Live:
"Never on any account continue the exercises until exhaustion sets in and always relax your muscles afterwards."
Page 97:
"Do not perform any exercises to excess,so as to tire yourself out.If you feel tired and exhausted, give yourself the necessary rest, and as in ecerything use moderation and common sence"
Page 98:
"Remeber that excessive and rapid exercise is harmful.Overwork like laziness, spells disease"
Page 99:
Remeber to go ahead gently.Increase your weights and exercises gradually and slowly."
Now lets see what advice W.A.Pullum gives from How to use a barbell:
Page 34:
"Learn to distinguish between that degree of work which merely insists that you strenuously exert yourself and that which really taxes you to perform it.The former is the limit beyond which it is never beneficial to proceed."
Those tidbits of advice are the back bone of my Strategy!
