I've been reading a lot about Psychic Vampirism, both online and offline. To be honest it's hard to wade through the Role Players and Bullshit. There is very little quality stuff. I'm half way through Belanger's "The Psychic Vampire Codex" but I'm bored with all the Past life Kheprian roll play babble. There are some role players that are serious about adopting a psychological paradigm. I've read some stuff about the Temple of the Vampire (Which has a pyramid scheme type money making Scientology scam). Then I found this ritual by Rev. John D. Allee. satanismcentral.com/vampirism.htmlIt's actually pretty good. The reason why I post this, is to explore the concept and get opinions on adopting a Vampyre persona for ritual / self devepment purposes?

I've actually come to realize that I have the vampyre's natural energy manipulation abilities. Regardless of why I have this gift, I've always felt that I should make use of it somehow. Holler back at me please and let me know how that book is. I'd really like some good reading material on the subject.

Hi Fone,
In the Psychic Vampire codex I'm up to the part about energy manipulation. I've had to put it down, because I've waded through so much unnecessary bullshit. So at the stage I would not recommend it, but I need to finish.
She has another book out that specifics addressing psychic energy stuff. This may or may not be better.
I will remember this thread and get back to you.
AWAKE!

Remeber we are followers/practitioners of the Cthulhu Mythos and there are those out there that would call our belief system bullshit as well. Just remeber this one mans bullshit is another's beliefs and as long as their beliefs do not threaten us we should atleast respect their right to that belief system.

Well Timotheus took the words right out of my mouth! In any case, I've adopted a credo you might call spiritual piracy. Permit me to elaborate: I will read through any system I can and take what I deem useful and throw out anything I can't use. In this fashion, I have built up my own paradigm. Which btw, is subject to change at any moment I find something more useful.
Think on it for a minute now, if belief is in fact reality, why not exploit that?

I suppose that abilities of the sort would be useful in their own rite, but I do see some inherent problems that could arise from such a practice. Both terms vampirism and piracy imply of course that you are some form of a vampire or a pirate, obviously. However, would this also not imply that you have a very strong weakness?? That you have an insatiable hunger or lack resources??? Furthermore, these are things that require you to find the right person to take it from, i.e.- you are unable to self-sustain yourself in any way without the ability to prey not only on just anyone, but, ''the right one that holds what you lack''.
So if belief is reality, then would this belief, if nothing else over time, develop a weakness that you would probably rather not have all of the time?? I imagine that you would be something like a junkie after a while, just looking for a fix so you can feel like a big man again, just to have to do it again later, or worse, looking for the right prey and then getting fucked by something nasty you decided to work with in ritual while your resources were bottoming out.
I would say that magick, much like economy has problems with infinite growth/prey on everything til it's gone type of models. They are not in any way self-sustaining from their very core, and therefore have a big nasty expiration date that does not seem worth the hassle.
This would be bound to happen sooner or later I think, assuming we live in a plane of infinite possibilities, and magick is a tool/ability to shave the infinite down into one possibility, pigeonholing yourself into something that could wear you far thinner than I know I would like.
I just feel that using something that goes off of your own strengths, or the building thereof, would be much more beneficial. Something that can sustain you infinitely/indefinitely?? On a lighter note I do cannot think of anyone I meet randomly on the street whose filthy, mindless fucking drone of an existence I would want clouding up my life force/energy/aura (whatever you want to call it).
--By the subterranean might of those in slumber!!!--

Interesting... But you're right. Eventually I'll run out of ideas to prey on and thus I'll have to finally decide what I'd like to believe in. But the advantage to that is, I get to decide what it is I believe in. Not somebody else! Well spoken sir!

Well actually it is bullshit, because she specifically says it doesn't apply to people outside their soul group. It's not a case of one man's belief is another man's bullshit. It is bullshit to read in a book, when it's specifically says I can't apply it to my life. If she says this is applicable to all Vampire souls then I wouldn't call it bullshit. But to buy a book and a 3rd of it is blathering on about her special soul group and how special they are..... is bullshit. I don't need to read that in a commercial book. They need to keep it to themselves. If you know what I mean. AWAKE.

Belanger says on pages 45-46: "Although this version of the Codex is intended to be shared with a wider audience then any version published privately before,it is still written as an instructional text for Kheprians.Throughout the text,I employ the pronouns "us" and "we" to refer collectively to Kheprians. Readers should not assume that they are included in this collective. This does not mean that non-Kheprians cannot benefit from the information contained in this document.Nor does it mean non-Kheperians can not learn the techniques discussed herein. However,it does mean that reading this text wil not autometacally make you a Kheprian.Neither will learning how to feed necessarily make you a psychic vampire of any sort-true psychic vampirism is inborn. These Kheprian-specific passages are included to give you a peek inside a previously secret tradition, and also to reach out to those of our scattered Family who still have yet to remeber themselves" Basically she said that you can learn from it but that there are Kheprian-specific passages that are included to give you a peek inside a previously secret tradition, and also to reach out to those of our scattered Family who still have yet to remeber themselves. No where is there anything after having reread it last night that I could find that says you can't apply whats in it. So why not stop badmouthing another group and their beliefs...how about leaving that tactic to the Christians and those inmature sects and followers of the RHP that do that!!!

Hey Michael W. Ford's book on Vampyre Magick is a good one to study. Because he addresses the Luciferian or Satanist (or whoever) that the path of Luciferian Vampyrism is about think as a God or Goddess. And can be useful to you if you wish to use the vampyre archtype as well.

Adopting the persona is very easy, it just takes the dedication. The reason I say this is because to have the persona you must have developed the abilities. Developing any kind of mental, or psychological ability takes enormous amounts of time and dedication. So if your dedicated to the way a psi vampire lives, then ideally it will come natural. Some people are born with this ability, while others must train their conscious and unconscious minds. Thanks CABchaousum, OUT!!!

Study the Chi, the lifeforce. Learn to accumilate it and practice. Try this... Imagine your both hands are like 2 opposing magnets pushing against each other, flattening your palms to an extent of trying to feel the energys, but at the same time project Chi through your whole body, more like from your waist, or your solar plexus, when you focus enough you can feel the force tighten and magnify between your hands and as you breath it grows larger. I learned it very easily and im sure you guys will to. If that doesnt work first time try rubbing your hands together as to cause friction, then place them about an inch apart but flatten your palms as you do this... These techniques will help you sense the energy, to feel it running through your body. This is where you learn to manipulate it and you will eventually feel attuned to your settings. Self acceptance above all, and love as these promote evolution and will attune you to the atmosphere. You will begin to understand emotions of others and will beable to dictate the outcome of their moods but you must also learn to attune to your predatory nature and not allow petty emotions to stand in your way. The chi technique can also be used magicaly, I use it mostly subliminaly and vampyricly.

As a member of House Kheperu, I will say that yes- the original intention of the Psychic Vampire Codex was originally intended as a manual for members of House Kheperu. BUT- the core teachings found in the book (energywork etc) can still be applied for mostly everyone. This is even more apparent to members of the Psychic Vampire community, which at the time had no book or public teaching source. Although there is a section of the book that is Kheprian specific, the process of vampirism was still outlined and can be practiced by any psychic vampire- not specifically a Kheprian. As with most things, filter out what does not apply to you, and work into your practice what you feel comfortable with. Adopting the Vampire Archetype in ritual, should be a pretty empowering experience, and something definitely worth exploring for a chaos magician.

Hmm perhaps I'll check it out later then? Just read through and throw out was does not apply to me? Maybe that's what I've been doing with my spirituality all along? It is entirely possible... Remember thyself! Know thyself! Just view what I find interesting and apply any ideas that I like. And use my personal observations and ideas while I'm at it, so that I'm not totally dependent upon outside forces! So simple... I once again slap my forehead...

I had my crash course in this a few years ago. A couple sought my services to officiate their marriage in the Blood Rose ceremony. It gave me an opportunity to talk to them about the energy exchange, and both were equally against Sanguine Vamps, but made a single exception for the blood exchange in their marriage ceremony (that was pretty interesting actually).
I could compare it to the dynamic in a Dom/sub relationship, if anyone is into the scene. The gentleman was the Vamp, and his lady the Swan. The Swan gives her energy to her Master; but is in complete control of the exchange. Many people misunderstand the Dom/sub relationship even the Sado-Masochist. It is really the Sub/Masochist in control, and I found that to be the case - observing their relationship and how the ceremony was carried out.
It is equally a self-discipline for both parties involved. Even in the case of a Vamp with multiple Swans.
When I was asking for resources, I was referred to the website Vampire Rave, a lot. I found some pretty useful books there on a recommended reading list.
It may be helpful to you as well.

You have to register to be able to search the content. The Community has so many problems,to the point I get ill when psi vamps bash on sanguines, and sangines bash on psi vamps. Both are infact legit vampyres and legit members of the Vampyre Community. It's rather like comparing apples to oranges, except these apples and oranges are being rather stuck up and immature toward each other.

Believe me when I say, I understand - it occurs in any form of religion or philosophical paradigm when the parameters are open to interpretation and factions form.
Atheist vs. Theist, as an example.
Symbolic vs. Literal blood intake.
Much of the same.

Indeed! I experimented with vampyrism not long ago and I seriously don't think there was anything wrong with what I did. I'm more comfortable with the "lone wolf" approach in general as I find it's best when people suspend their goddamn judgements! Belief is reality! Awake!

@ Timotheus Phophet of Darkness, I didn't suggest anything, but I will say the modern day sexually seductive Vampire identity is quite attractive. I just merely gave a resource, what someone does with it and what opinion they draw is theirs. Ia Ia Cthulhu!
How long, Dread Lord, unholy and true, will You refrain from judging and avenging our blood on those who dwell upon the earth?
