I made this statue on the 23rd of March. It now sits on my altar behind the goat skull. This photo was taken while it was still drying. Tried to keep it quite faithful to the idol described in The Call of Cthulhu. I will be painting it when it is wholly dry. This is my newest completed painting which will take pride of place at my upcoming exhibition. It is titled Xaos Prometheus and depicts Nyarlathotep as the keeper of the emerald flame of arcane wisdom. Ia! Ia! Cthulhu fhtagn!

Wow, I am literally blown away by your artistic creations, brother.
The painting is so fucking cool... I don't know what else to say?
How did you make your Cthulhu idol?

Thank you. Yes, I'm very proud of both of them.
I made the idol with just air-drying modeling clay. After a day of waking meditation and invocations, I just sat down and made it. I didn't have water on hand, so I used the dirty paint water from a few Cthulhu paintings I had done during the day, so it tinged the white clay a nice unwholesome blue-green. Shub-Niggurath is next on the list. And a have a most excellent Yog-Sothoth painting on the way too.
I have a blog where I post paintings and rantings, etc.

Really dig then painting, what is the size on that beast? And what medium do you use if you don't mind the inquiry?

Thank you for the kind words. Wait till you see my next Yog-Sothoth painting ;P
Nephrenka, I use acrylic and watercolour paints in my work. Sometimes the acrylic is used like a watercolour, sometimes the watercolour like an acrylic. I just use what I have on hand. At the moment I've been enjoying using ceramic paints that are supposed to be for pottery, etc. Interesting effects.

Cool, I had guessed there were at least some acrylic in there, that is what I use most of the time. The best watercolor I have found to go with it is Gouache. It is a good paint for it's watercolor properties, but has a nice opaqueness to it like acrylic if you want it to, plus it is fun because it can still be manipulated quite well after drying. Thanks for sharing again brother!!

I'm not really an art collector but these are fine indeed. Are copies or prints for sale?

Prints can be arranged upon request, yes. It's not something I had originally planned on doing, so I'd have to look into it properly before I could quote you a final price. PM me if you'd like to discuss this further.
