I had a horrific experience back in 2001 that nearly took my life.
I went down the beach in Queensland Australia in the early morning daylight for a relaxing swim, since I was stressed from a recent marrital breakup.
On the beach there was no more than about 4 people scattered in the distance either surfing or walking about. As a result I decided to go into the water up to my waist and enjoy the cool swim.
After a few minutes I noticed the water was getting deeper and up to my shoulders, but as I tried to swim to more shallow water the sand beneath my feet was giving way and I could not swim out of the water. By this time it was up to my jaw and becoming harder to keep my head above and yell out for help. I was in an underwater rip which was sucking me out to sea.
Though I was calling out for help but no one heard me.
My fear of sharks was the last thing on my mind. After a few minutes of constant screaming for help my voice and lungs were hurting and I was getting nowhere trying to struggle out of the rip's turbulance. The only thought that was going through my head is - I'm fucked; I'm going to die drowning.
Then out of the blue came a freak wave form behind me, which was big enough to wash me into shallow water, giving me a foot hold on the sand underneath and allowing me to swim back to shore. ( This wave was not flowing in the same direction as the rest of the waves, but came from behind me on what looked like a 45 degree angle.)
Upon getting back to the shore I was totally exhausted and shaking like a leaf with shock. I was only nearly seconds away from going under and drowning, with the chance of being washed out to sea or taken by sharks.
When I got back home, I spoke to my family only to be scorned for not reading the beach signs. One sign I later found covered by thick bushes and rusting away on the beach. As I was not a local to the area and saw others in the water, I naturally assumed it was safe to swim.
As I don't believe in coincidences and that all things happen for a reason, I knew some one wanted me alive, hence I checked on the situation. I found out who had actually saved me with the freak wave pushing me to safety, and was told by Taimat that it was Cthulhu who saved me from drowning. I checked with him and he confirmed waht I was told.
Where was God and Christ in all of this ? Definitely not interested in helping me I can assure you - but the Old Ones did.
The Lord of the Deep Ones, Cthulhu wanted me to stay alive in the flesh. It was soon after I found out whom I really was and started getting regular messages from the inner family.
