If there was a comedy section we could post comedy clips and discuss the art and science of comedy itself. Why not ? Indeed it is a art and a science. When arguing it is more often than not useful to use humor as well as irony, the message is better perceived. Don't worry. Be happy. Make efforts.

Thanks, everyone, for your support. I appreciate your feedback.
I Recently came to a decision about the stand-up comedy. Enjoyed various aspects of it, but in the long run I can already tell that it's not for me. The time and energy which I have already put into memorizing approximately 8 minutes of material with appropriate delivery could have been channeled into so many other things.
Plus, if I was really successful... what then? Best case scenario, I enjoy frequent guest appearances on primetime sitcoms or my own situation comedy. Worst case? I'm on the road all the time doing an hour in this club and an hour in that bar all over the country making about half of what I earn now. Traveling is ok, but not constant touring.
I was hoping that stand-up could easily transition me into working with people regarding the CoC. Now, it seems clear to me that if I want to start helping others... leading them towards The Great Work, then I should focus on that... the thing in itself, not a glamorous side-entrance which is really the long way round.
Indeed, this is a slight paradigm shift. I'm going to parlay what I've learned so far into something other than stand-up comedy: the benefits of effectively using humor in my Ipsissimus duties.
One example would be writing Gate One of Necronomicon Satanis:

Another is my jumping into motivational life coaching with both tentacles. Perhaps I can help the medicine go down with a spoonful of sugar:

I have some constructive criticism, try to make it sound a little more alive, like Ricky Gervais does, watch and learn from other big stand up comedians. Because your latest standup just sounded a little to stale, it was still funny. But stale.

I liked it! I want more office banter! And where are those copies I requested? It's been like three weeks! JK
And as for my goals, I'm trying to figure out what I'm good at. Bombed the first biology exam, but they've gotten a lot better since then. I'm thinking if I apply myself (and put my balls to the wall) for the rest of the semester, biology could in fact be my calling...

This is funny, i like. Religion has a scape goat for anything it seems. I think that to be a great stand up comedian, u have to b a little nuts. I mean you have to really have to be able to feel comfortable with speaking ur mind, and have the wits to turn something so mundane into something completely over the top. like Louis Black's shpeel on hunting. I think u have some good material, it made me laugh, u should do more!

Venger, I like your comedy. Been to a few comedy clubs in my life and you got what it takes!! Been up on stage several times and knocked there socks off with my experience you got to just go up there and do it!! Sometimes it helps if you have a drink or two to lighten things up!! Trust me on this the last time I was on stage it was a hit, a big hit!! I am a jokester and prankster and have been most of my life!! Great you tube videos by the way. You got it!!
