My old sefu from my karate had an interesting comment about that. He said, "Why do we always give other people better advice than what we give ourselves?" Now I've taken this idea a step further... Sit down and picture yourself on the other side of the room or what have you. Now listen to yourself explain your problems... And then proceed to "give yourself" advice on the matter...

Ive been thinking about this a lot lately. It sucks that a certain amount courage is required when faced with a new realization about ones self. Do I make the change necessary, whats the gain, whats the loss, will it change who I am more than Im ready to accept. Then you feel that voice saying" You might be wrong, whats the guarantee that it would benefit you or could you just end up wasting your time".
A lot of interesting things take place when your pointing the attention at your self.
Awake!

Well courage I got! My biggest concern is what direction to take... I mean, like David Dramen (A metal singer for Disturbed) once sang, "Where do I begin? The choices are endless!"

Yes, observe yourself and remember yourself, and you will manage your life better, indeed... Awake !

Hmmmm I never thought about it on those terms... But you're correct Yrreiht! This is but one way we can learn to observe ourselves. As Socrates once said, "The unexamined life is not worth living."
