Dude, I told you before... don't create an entirely new thread for something very similar to what you already posted. Simply reply to the initial thread you started. I can't move posts over to other threads, so I'm forced to delete them. Please post parts 2 and 3 to this thread right here. Thank you.

Love the Insmouth story. I got so pissed watching that sub marine blow the A:O watery cave up. There went a small piece of earths history, just slightly.

Just watched "Dagon" & it appears to be close to the "Shadow over Innsmouth" story(with some modifications of course), correct?

It is directed by Stuart Gordon, who does a lot of HPL films in the same vein (Re-Animator, From Beyond, Dreams In the Witch House). Check them out if you liked Dagon and haven't seem them already. I do think Dagon is probably the most tame as far as splatter/gore though.

Wow i didn't know that was the same director. Thought he was just one of those guys from the 80's that burned out. I've seen all those flicks, but figure he's like Peter Hyams where he disappeared for awhile.
Dagon was surprisingly entertaining & the scene when our hero's in that house being drowned by the tentacled dude before he hits him over the head was actually scary.

Thanks for sharing this . I've seen it before and it's good but I don't like it when those guys make changes to the original story . Lovecraft is perfection !

Immediately when I saw Dagon, I knew it was Shadow Over Innsmouth. I really liked that film, for that reason. The way the story was told, and the surrendering to the destiny to be with Dagon, was beautifully delivered.
I love all the Stuart Gordon films, and how he uses some of the same actors - is epic.
Jeffry Combs, remains my favorite for the Reanimator series, even to hear him narrate the story himself in the audio version, is epic.
I think every single story should be made into some visual representation, whether tv short or film. I've seen all of them that have so far, and there should be MOAR.

UXIA FTW
The soundtrack is fantastic.
I especially like Uxia's speech about destiny. Going from memory here...
Pablo: "Will you let her go?"
Uxia: "But you can not care for her...You do not dream of her. Your dreams brought you here."
Pablo: "Those were nightmares! They weren't real!"
Uxia: "Every dream is a wish. "
Pablo: "I don't have a choice, do I?"
Uxia: "It is your destiny. You are my brother, you will be my lover. We had different mothers, but the same father."
Pablo: "Fuck Dagon!"
Uxia: "Yes! And the child will be immortal."
The only thing I didn't like about it, was when they show Dagon - meh
