Icarus
His wings made of wax All want to fly like Icarus
Icarus
Icarus
Why did you want to touch the sun?
The old man mourns for Icarus
Some of us want to be Icarus Some live in fear of another Icarus
They say Icarus was a fool
Icarus was brave Icarus was naive
Icarus was no fool

Wow! I have gone by the name Ikaros in magical workings for about 7 years now. Brother, you captured a very important facet of that myth. Thanks for sharing!

That is exactly why I posted it on here brother.
I remember coming across this at school and from my impressions people used Icarus in the same way as the Boy Who cried Wolf fable, ever since I first came across Icarus, I was always fascinated why Icarus wanted to touch the sun and why people deemed it bad and why it was bad to try and be another Icarus.
I was partly drawn to Icarus due to that describes one part on my personality, I would always get in trouble as a kid for following my curiosity.
Still today, if someone does not explain an idea or a principle etc to my full satisfaction, I will go out and find out for myself hence another angle to the Icarus story.
