Right before bed last night, I did many things. But none of those things are as important as what I'm about to share. I called into the ether that I wanted to meet Cthulu in a dream. Right before I went to sleep, (I was about half awake at this point) I felt a terrible darkness envelope me. It was sublime and made me feel for a moment, whole and totally together. I then heard a voice call to me and say, "I am the one you wanted to meet!" Now, I've met "things" before in this manner, but this was unlike anything I'd ever experienced before.
I then said, "Who are you? Identify yourself!" He replied, "Many know me as Cthulu. You wanted to talk to me in your dreams, so here I am!" I said, "I revere and respect you. But I do not fear you. Is that acceptable?" I could feel him smile as he said, "Donnie! You are the type of person who'd stare down the barrel of a gun and tell the other person to pull the trigger! It is not your nature to fear anything, thus yes that is acceptable. Also, it has come to my attention that many things in your life worry you. But I promise you young one, that you need not concern yourself as very soon, you will have all you need and much more. Your time is nigh!" I said, "Thank you great Cthulu! Your assurance in these matters is most appreciated!" He left me with, "You are very welcome. I will go now as you really should get some sleep. Sweet dreams!"
That is the entire conversation as I recall it at this point. Feel free to leave me thoughts or comments. Or you can contact me via YIM (If you dare!)
Hail Cthulu! Hail Samael! Hail ALL the old gods!

Why would he demand fear? Let's look at the logistics here. If I myself were a deity, why would I demand fear? What logical reason would I have for that? I honestly wouldn't care. I mean, I'm a freaking god!
So I have three hypothesis regarding this: A) It was in fact just some weird dream. B) Something did visit me, but it was not Cthulu C) Belief is in fact reality
I also wanted to note that I will never again worship or revere anything I've never seen. And if that's what I'm meant to do here, then....

I do not understand what you speak of, not once did you say this was "just a silly dream" you clearly stated it was before you went to sleep. "I will never again worship anything Ive seen" elaborate. Hail Satanis!

I meant to say anything I've never seen. And as I stated above, I was still half asleep. I have (supposedly) met things this way as I've done so much to psychically open myself. Also, I am in actuality a priest. A practicing demonoloter to be precise.
Now! As for fearing the godlike version of myself, permit me to elaborate. If I were a deity, it wouldn't mean much to me how I was perceived by people simply because I could kill them at will just because I didn't like them. I mean, I would be so far above them that it really wouldn't matter.
Also, you can smite me and put me down all you like! I follow my own path and this cult is but a footnote in my spiritual development. I don't know how long I'll stay, but if all the members are like you, I don't think I'll be here too long. Although I am Facebook friends with the high priest himself and he seems pretty cool. But then again, it's in his best interest to be that way isn't it? If your reading this High Priest, I meant no disrespect, I am merely stating the facts as I see them.

They say your dreams are the accumulation of the last three days. Whether thats true or not is unimportant. It is important to keep Cthulhu in your thoughts as often as possible. Nothing but a deeper understanding of the darkness & truth could come of this. Slowly it sinks deeper into your life till you are able to keep that vision with you constantly. Continue on this path.
Are dreams can be crazy & grand experiences. It shows us what power we could have if we were more enlightened.

Thank you very much shotgun guy! The truth of the matter is, I didn't know what to expect. I do believe that it is important to question yourself and give yourself an examination every once in a while. The great Socrates himself said, "The unexamined life is not worth living." Hmmm... It says here your screen name is Boksmutanis. I'm thinking we'll go with addressing you as that from here on out as shotgun guy seems a little vague. Anyway, I will head your words and continue doing what I've been doing. Albeit, other magickal paths have interested me, and I think I should examine them soon.
Like necromancy! I would like to talk with my mother again, and I have a few questions to pose to George Carlin. But I digress. Thank you for your time and I greatly appreciate all of your feedback! Even you Czhanjeem....

To Emery89: I do not know as I was enveloped in a weird darkness.
To Valcara: I do not fear death as it's happened to me before and I've come to understand it as natural and inevitable. To be frank, it's LIFE that scares the hell out of me!

B) Something did visit me, but it was not Cthulu C) Belief is in fact reality I also wanted to note that I will never again worship or revere anything I've never seen. And if that's what I'm meant to do here, then.... We as Individuals are all different that means we think, act, eat,DREAM in many different ways, I believe you dreamed of Cthulhu because everyone has many different dreams and since dreams are normally reflecting experiences and actions and personality your "visit" was just Cthulhu coming to you and interacting with you in the way he knows you. You cant be a Lair if you did dream of Dread Cthulhu and what happened in your dream since you cant control what dreams do, To add Cthulhu is grateful to all his followers and rewards all his followers for their dedication to him, He demands fear from non-beleivers and opposers. So because Lord Satanis is High Preist over Cthulhu Cult and has accomplished a lot of great deeds in his name then Cthulhu would demand fear? NO! he would and will reward Lord Satanis for all his sacrifice and loyalty, That includes every Cultist who is true to his/her word when they say "I WORSHIP AND BELIEVE IN CTHULHU" then Cthulhu will not come demanding fear he will reward you and show his loyalty unto you also! ia ia Cthulhu fhtagn! I can understand the raging of your first answerer, but if you lied he shouldn´t care. I mean, IF you lied and I repeat IF, then I think it´s nothing we humans should care about. Just the old one would take care about you and your soul if you lied. But if you speak the truth I gratulate you in any ways. I started my my trip on the road of Cthulhu just before a few months and I don´t know if I am a real follower but I search for something more then just this world and if I would get such a visit like you I would be so glad. I believe there is something more, but i don´t specialice if it´s god, allah or other. In the moment I am more beliveing in the nordic gods, but in Cthulhu too. Why shouldn´t be both real? But one is sure: I followed the path of inasnity since I started with puberty and it gave me joy, friends and inspiration. If i meet someday the god who send this gift to me i swear i will follow him.

I think this thread is a little old but I just stumbled upon it and would very much like to make my voice heard here. Right before bed last night, I did many things. But none of those things are as important as what I'm about to share. I called into the ether that I wanted to meet Cthulu in a dream. Liar! I mean no offense but as a writer it is quite easy to tell when someone is writing from their mind and not their heart. Your story would be great if you acknowledged it was fiction but you try to play it off as truth. Master Satanis is the only one (yet) worthy of communing with the great old ones! who are you? your not even a priest! why would Cthulhu speak to you brother? If he did speak to don't you believe he would have said something meaningful. How can i believe you when you cant even spell our dread fathers name correctly? (if i have misunderstood and you meant it as fiction, my apologizes) Hail Cthulhu Now I must say I was angered when I read this post for a few reasons. Now let me clarify I cannot say what he actually experienced or seen but I can very much defend him how I feel. You can not ask why Cthulhu would speak to him and not someone higher in the cult. You have no knowledge on every aspect and plan Cthulhu has. For all you know fonetik2003 will become Awakened and bring about a golden age for all of mankind, this may be unlikely but possible. I read and hear that Cthulhu speaks through dreams which must mean he plans them out some so he could very be preparing fonetik for an unknown future. "Master Satanis is the only one (yet) worthy of communing with the great old ones!" czhanjeem forgive me for my bluntness, but who are you to be able to answer that? I do not think you can tell what the Great Old Ones think or plan, but I am being redundant the first paragraph explains this enough. His dream could be anything from false interpretation to actually speaking Cthulhu but I do not believe any of that matters. What matters is what he took away from whatever he experienced, or what he learned. "If he did speak to don't you believe he would have said something meaningful." Now that is another false speaking. You cannot say what is meaningful to fonetik, and is not just being in the presence of Cthulhu a meaningful message? It matters not that it could just be a silly dream but as I said what he took away! To make another point I will share a most recent experience on a relevant topic. Last night I had a dream with Cthulhu in it. I'm not saying this dream was He speaking to me but I could take a number of interpretations from it. I try to avoid that as I am sure it was just a normal dream but I am dissecting it some and seeing what is useful for the future. A suppose a short summery of the dream is in order... The most bizarre thing in it was that the dream felt like it took a week which I have never experienced such long dream time. This also included other dreams within that dream some even having Cthulhu in them too. However, the main part of the dream was that Cthulhu was in my front yard. I must say the feeling was dreadful when you looked at him but he ever really said anything. He had more of a presence like Godzilla in the dream as he just kind of roam around and terrorized the place. Now I will spare the details but I also remember being in contact with the cult some. The dream actually went pretty deep in meaning as I had intelligent conversations about Him and what not with some of the cultist. Now this is the main gist of the dream besides some details that aren't worth sharing but the thing is how I could interpret this dream and the details. I have learned from this dream even if it was a little. I don't think it was actually Cthulhu contacting me but I must say it was truly interesting. One last small point. czhanjeem you even criticized him with spelling His name wrong. I don't think you can even say how to spell it. Theres like a hundred spellings for His name and it is an alien language, and I believe that criticism was just a little low. czhanjeem do not take offense from this I am merely disagreeing what you have said about him and some of your ideas.

Wow! I had no idea that writing that post would create this much of a firestorm. But that is good as people need to be talking. I've been away for some time as I had a few things in my life to get in order. Now, what I took away from the experience was the knowledge that I am never truly alone and that there are indeed higher beings in this universe. And that I need not fear them as cooperation will have many rewards. I also took away the knowledge that all of my work is more than just mental masturbation. And while it does indeed serve that purpose, it is also to build me up and make me stronger and more capable of dealing with the constraints of this reality. That awakening is possible and a very worthy goal to pursue. My favorite metal singer (Sascha Koneitzko) once sang, "Now is the time! Get on the right side!" I now know what he meant by that. That we should work towards a new beginning...
And I'll confess that this is reminiscent of that "Today is the first day of the rest of your life!" crap we're all undoubtedly familiar with, I ask you now, what is so wrong with that line of thinking?
P.S. The KMFDM track is called "Godlike" if you care to listen to it...

I believe that Yes this could have very well been a encounter with our dread Lord Cthulhu! However I only say this because I believe ALL aspects ov the Primordial Gods to Exist within ones subconscious waters ov the mind and higher self as well! Therefor, if Cthulhu did in fact visit you, It was in MY opinion a definite manifestation ov his infinite forms! He just happened to manifest himself in your likeness in your dreamy state ov blurred consciousness! I congratulate thee on your contact! If he were to visit me however it would be indeed VERY terifying but enlightening as well! IA IA CTHULHU FHTGAN!
