The sole criterion is for you to be a mindless drone. As soon as you can put a checkmark in that box, just go right ahead and add it to "reptilian hybrid". It's really that simple.

A draft of the prerequisites and responsibilities of Wizards of the Terrible Darkness is currently in development. The goal of these standards is to encourage Wizards not to seek the title just as a badge of honor, but as a dedication to personal growth and communal development. They should be launched by 2011. Until then, I recommend reading Gurdjieff, Ouspensky, Lovecraft, and any valuable LHP-related works. (I hear Postmodern Satanism is quite good... ) That way, when our new system is launched, you'll be well prepared to advance through the system.

Start preparing a 500 word (minimum) essay on a Cult related topic. If you want to go over the details with me prior to submitting your essay, I'd be happy to discuss it.

Vanessa Esoteric Wizard of the Terrible Darkness Cult of Cthulhu Thank you Alba Kalool, for asking this question, and Wizard Vanessa for your terrific guidance on how the office is one of personal development and communal growth. I am about on the same page as too the reading material, already read post modern satanism, an excellent read. When ever I read a book that has a different philosophy system than the Cult of Cthulhu, I always way it against the background, as too if it was written in the mechanical philosophy of today's world such as postmodern satanism which clearly states and I quote: Let no one deceive you, it is not our side which stands in opposition to reality. On the contrary, it is we who are most firmly grounded in the nature of the world as it is. Thus, the Satanist is first and foremost a realist and a pragmatist, adopting precisely those strategies which the world requires of all things in order to survive. We do not oppose the world, but rather accept the world as metaphysical opposition, which is just the way we find it. Hence Satanism is nothing more nor less than the most natural attitude toward the world in which we find ourselves. unquote: I always take any philosophy that is outside the fourth way or the teachings of the Cult of Cthulhu with a gain of salt. I stand behind my statement that the Cult of Cthulhu has all the right ingredients for life and ascending. Hail the Cult of Cthulhu! AWAKE Talek Esoteric Herald of the Old Gods Cult of Cthulhu

Actually, I find those words in keeping with the Great Work, though interpretation is, of course, up to the individual. Why did that seem mechanical to you? A clarification of what Jason King meant by "metaphysical opposition" would help.

My Interpretation was a mechanical view of world by the quote: Let no one deceive you, it is not our side which stands in opposition to reality. On the contrary, it is we who are most firmly grounded in the nature of the world as it is. This lead me to thinking of viewing of the world as non changeable reality, the key words being "the world as it is", to which there is nothing that can be done to free oneself from this prison, hence grounded in the believing of the nature of this world as the only so called "reality". Thus leading to adopting precisely those strategies which the (world) requires, this lead to my interpretation of acceptance of present environment which would keep an individual fully grounded in this world paradigm, overlooking self observation which leads to the beginning of change, IE why fight the norm, accept it and embrace it. Accept the world as a metaphysical opposition, no universe B, only universe A is relevant. Satanism is nothing more nor less than the most natural attitude toward the world in which we find ourselves. I interpreted natural attitude as mechanical thinking, no need to think outside the norms, direct opposite of the fourth way teaching. My Interpretation in a somewhat "nutshell". All in All this book is an excellent read. Awake! Talek Esoteric Herald of the Old Gods Cult of Cthulhu

Vanessa Esoteric Wizard of the Terrible Darkness Cult of Cthulhu Good advice. In addition to this, as well as Master Satanis' 500-word minimum essay, it would also benefit you, as well as other cultists, if you start showing supported examples and explanations of your knowledge of the Work, Satanism and the current Satanic community, and HP Lovecraft. More in-depth displays of understanding to the foundations of the CoC philosophies will give you a greater chance for the ascension. It will also enhance any essay you come up with for the Cthulhu blog entry.

Hopefully, King was stating all that first as a jumping off point before altering reality as one sees fit. If JK wants to elucidate, that would be great. But I'm not going to hold my breath.
