Forgive me, I couldn't resist. That never gets old.
Vitals
My name is Vanessa, and I'm a pre-law student at Texas State University, graduating with a B.A. this December. I'm libertarian, a sapiosexual switch, and a Repo! shadowcast participant in my spare time.
My LHP experience
I've been an agnostic atheist, empiricist, and skeptic for most of my life. I was a philosophical Buddhist for 3 years, focusing on the epistemology and metaphysics of the Majjhima Nikaya and meditation techniques. I discovered the LHP after reading The Satanic Bible a little over a year ago. I'm an active member and Libertine II on the Modern Church of Satan and a currently inactive member on the 600 Club (don't get me started).
Why I'm here, and how I came to be here
I heard about the Cult of Cthulhu first when High Priest Venger As'Nas Satanis interviewed Jason King, author of Postmodern Satanism. Master Satanis continued to share content on the Modern Church of Satan forums, to mixed reception from the peanut gallery.
I took the time to explore beyond the links, browsing the archives of the Cult of Cthulhu blog and finally reading Liber A:O. I was especially intrigued by the laws (and higher laws) of the universe, and I enthusiastically support the aspiration to eugenic breeding.
I've lurked in these forums for a couple of days, getting a feel for the environment before posting. I really like what I see. This is an active, supportive community that not only outlines standards for personal development in all spheres, but lives its message and helps its members realize their potential. Dialogue is respectful, constructive, and content-rich. This is by far the best LHP forum I've encountered; I hope to continually contribute and spread the word.
