I really am starting to think I'm not Cult of Cthulhu material. For one thing, there was a dream I had a few months ago one night, where I may have gotten too scared to bring the Great Old Ones back, but there was another one I had where I was in Venger's house trying and finding things that would expose him as a phony. The most recent dream I had, I was talking to Venger and he was ignoring me, and I got mad and said something like, "Fuck you and fuck your Cthulhu Cult!" Then he got pretty angry at me for saying that (I can't quite remember what he said, but it was something like, "Fuck MY Cthulhu Cult?")
Anyway, I'm starting to think that these dreams are trying to tell me that I'm just not cut out to be a Cthulhu Cultist. Only the second one could be interpreted as meaning I'm not meant to follow ANY Mythos path, but the majority of them seem to be telling me I just shouldn't join the Cthulhu Cult at anytime. I mean no offense to any Cultists by posting this, and I know it sounds ridiculous that my dreams are trying to give me such a message. Besides, isn't it said that Cthulhu himself contacts people through dreams?

A prospective worshiper of the Great Old Ones should be apprehensive. It is no small matter to communicate with ancient, ultra-telluric, Godlike forces.
The second dream seems to be saying that your chief feature might be insecurity, and that you need to take a mature approach to working with the Cthulhu Mythos. Dreams are interpretive, as you say, so my advice is to be mindful of your dreams while waiting for further messages. I would not be at all surprised to hear that you experienced a third dream... one which might clear up some of your confusion.
If you're unsure about joining the Cthulhu Cult, then don't.
