I noticed you were having password problems. I believe Beast Xeno is still working on users being able to upload content. Not sure when that will be ready, but probably within a couple weeks. I'll let BX throw darkness on that bit of business.

Okay, so if we are going to do a book along the lines I am thinking and incorporating these other ideas, how about this.
Everybody that wants in should create a blog if you don't have one, or if you do have one but don't want to use it for this effort then create a new one. It takes like, what, two minutes?
Next, START WRITING! I am jumping in here between tattoos (both the execution of and negotiation for) and have probably written a half-dozen pages already. Write to tell people about your efforts in the work, a fantastic story adding to the Mythos, what inspires you about the CC... whatever.
Link to the Cthulhu Cult from your post. Copy and paste your posts in other forums. Send Beast Xeno copies of your blog and links back to your blog or web-site.
Twitter about your posts on your blogs. If linked up right, this will benefit you and the Cthulhu Cult. More importantly, link up and follow the efforts of others. Even if a book is not the end result, or even if the book isn't on the best-sellers list, by following the efforts of others you should be further inspired in your own efforts. Our growth as individuals will be increased by the reverberations generated by the efforts of those around us.
In let's say three months, I'll put out a call for submissions for "Children of the Crawling Chaos". Pick out your best stuff and send it to the appointed hole in the internet. I'll get it edited, formatted, and figure out what to do with it. The book should be a subsidiary consequence of our efforts, not the end in and of itself. Like all life, just another horribly malformed accident of creativity.

I've just increased the permissions of those would be contributors on the Cthulhu-Cult.com website. There should be sufficient clearance to do as you wish if not... let me know. Please be mindfull of categories, create them as you need to. Anything left "uncategorized" WILL be filed by me.

Yeah, I had to recover it twice - even though I knew the password. I figured the site was relatively new and you were working kinks out. Can't we have the blogs there? Wouldn't it make sense to, rather than using another site to host them?

Both ideas are great and I see no reason why we can't accomplish both. All we need is a plan and some action. In my mind the idea behind creating an "Union of WoTD" or a "Council of WoTD" was to create a body to make these decisions and handle the finances for the CoC. I think constructing an agenda using a business minded system of logic is an ideal beginning. I see this as a possibility for a short term agenda;
- Book project (accompanied by a website expansion)
- DVD project (using the funds generated from the book project to supply equipment need for the DVD)
- Convention #3
I'm sure more could be added like commercial products such as bumper-stickers and posters...
The thing here is everybody remembering this is their Cult, and we can let it roll into stagnation or make something truly Powerful and Magick!
I'm researching a way to create an International Conference Call. I'm looking for free avenues. So far I only have www.freeconferencecall.com/
Does anyone know of this one or have a recommendation?
Well the Council of Wizards would only be short term anyway would it not? Isn't the idea that heralds are on mass, WoTD are the regional leaders and The priests are the higher ups. Finally pinnacled by the high priest. Eventually the goals of wizards will be based around their grottoes alone? I think the original idea was that heralds are allowed to run grottoes hitherto because we are just in a state of infancy as a cult. And that overtime we would return to the layout put forward in the SoDOS. is it time perhaps to return to the old system? also what is the method for new members joining? are the $50 fees which where done away with 2-3 years ago to be reinstated? is it still required they had in that form with the nine questions answered? also if the form is required, does the cultist have to send it into VS or would a Priest or a wizard be fine? is it required that all heralds join a grotto and that all wizards lead one? and do priests lead personal grottoes, or lead a group of wizards in theirs? hmmmm... i have a few questions more then i expected. well infrastructure is important. I'm all for the conference call. I know there are few websites that you could like a conference video chat type thing on. I have never done one, but i have heard of them. perhaps these might soot the purpose.

Great questions! Thanks for asking them.
I believe the Council of Wizards of the Terrible Darkness (or Wizard Council) will be a permanent institution, organized for collective management.
Wizards can be regional leaders and Grotto Masters, but it's consistent effort which makes a WotTD what he or she is. Priests of R'lyeh take larger steps, create more action, and work directly with me to facilitate the Cult's forward movement.
Wizards don't have to lead Grottoes, and for the time being, it's alright for Heralds to become Grotto Masters as long as I approve such activity.
Anyone can join and call themselves a Cultist just as anyone can say they are a christian. The membership fees will not be reinstated; however, we could talk about Grotto quarterly membership dues - a nominal contribution going towards supplies, facilities, and promotional materials.
Anyone wanting to be considered an active member in the CoC must submit their 9 Q&A application to the High Priest, PoR, or WotTD.
Grottoes are entirely optional.
Have any more questions, please ask.

I tried something like that with The Sect of Lucifer. I asked for a contribution of $10($10 Australian = about $8 us) to come to one of the meet and greets, and it put most people off. The money was to help cover the costs of venue higher etc. and even if they all did bring the cash i would have still been out of pocket anyway. my recommendation, don't ask for payment/ donations unless people understand what its going towards. I suppose people are use to religions taking advantage of them they come to expect it. A good place is libraries, alot of them have cheap or even free meeting rooms that you can book.

Our grotto discussed fees, to cover any costs for things we do together. Rather than having regular member dues, we plan ahead. We all pitch in to have any expenses covered. We did talk about regular dues down the road, and a treasury to manage them for say, trips out of town and events we want to attend that might involve travel costs.

I have a little something for the Wizards of the Terrible Darkness to display on their web-sites and social-forum profiles:
<center><a href="http://www.cultofcthulhu.net"><img src="http://www.angelfire.com/ego2/creativeoddities/images/wotdf.JPG" border=0 height=500></a></center><p>
If you copy that string of HTML code and place it where you would like on your sites or profiles, an image will be displayed showing off your Cult of Cthulhu status and will link back to the Cult of Cthulhu webpage.
