i'm just curious to see if anyone has been using the glossolalia at the end of Liber A:O. i've heard from a couple Cultists that have dabbled in it, but i'm still looking for more! if i can inspire anyone to make use of Viridian, then all the better.

language gives order to consciousness, so it behooves one to employ this new Cult language.

um, yes... of course! i certainly didn't get it from a company that builds houses in my area: www.veridianhomes.com/
actually, i knew that viridian meant green(bluish green to be precise) way before that, but seeing the name almost every day probably didn't hurt.

I have used it in mantra and chant form and also in general spell craft. However i haven't been doing so many working lately, i simply just haven't hadn't had the need. When i used it in chants i primarily broke it down to syllables, then further still, until i could chant it slowly and monotonously enough for meditation etc.

An interesting glossary.
Such language, whether it be latin or this; is important to ritual. It sets a mindset for the practioner.
I'll see what I can do about improving about this language of the Ancients.

I have a question...
Do you think that it lessens worship if using only english; when calling out to the Forgotten gods? I will confess, the ancients tounge is a difficult one to master...

i don't think it matters. simply because no language we could produce could muster enough... something... to appease the A:O. i think its more important that the force of ones will is behind the words. I use english in ritual alot simply because it holds the most meaning behind the words for me. if i spoke chinese then its words would. i think the language is less relevant to the working then the direction of mind, and the meaning given to the words.

Have been dabbling a bit. I believe in creating secret languages among cult members to enable them to speak in front of non-cult members; about secret things.
A word may communicate an entire idea, and those are the words I'm seeking to find; whether pre-existing or invented.

Words that would encompass statements such as:
No need to state it, I understand. This in relation to personal gnosis.
Remember that prior discussion, you and I understand.
It is a thing only cultists understand.
Just a few phrases to start with. I think you get the jist.
These phrases would help with discussions in a large group. I've observed that members of the grotto make eye expressions and use facial expressions to communicate ideas only we would be privy to. It's funny actually. I'd like to match that with vocal expression.

Thank you, faire wizard; for your reassurance... Cora, your words are wise; I shan't give up on embracing the words of the Forgotten Ones... Blessed be!

My $0.02 : It only matters and makes a difference if you believe it does... Hail Chaos ;D For a while I was trying to learn a Bastardized version of Sumerian... I figured it would help me with the mind set, making it special, and all that shit... It turned out to be more of a distraction... Forgetting words and Getting Tongue-Tied just frustrated me... Personally I think what does matter is mindfulness... Be acutely aware of what you are saying and the implications of it, But don't let it distract you... Keep it in the back of your mind... It's kinda like a single pointed focus meditation...

Has anyone out there experimented with glossolalia during sex? Intentionally no, But I think we all have at one time or another if you're lucky... I think it'd be a good time for practice... especially in the height of it all rationality is not in the forefront of your mind. But I think most of the Gloss. would translate to: Oh Yeah, Oh Fuck, Right There, Just Like That, Call Me Grandma, Don't Stop, I'm Cumming, ect. You'd have to have pretty good mind control and go into gnosis at will.. This is provided your partner was down or not easily weirded out... I'd be hilarious during a one night stand ;D

Hey, does anyone one know of a resource with all the Mythos lingo/phrases with pronunciation key and translations? I can't find anything. I have Daniel Harms Encyclopedia - but I wanted to know if there was anything on-line and from a different source (outside of the Simon/Harms crew).
Anyone?

I honestly can say; I do not...
However; if one does not exist...Shouldn't it be up to us to create such a resource. Because, it's obivious that we are probably not the only ones asking that very question?
And; probably not just a phrase encyclopedia...But, perhaps; a encyclopedia of letters and power words as well...
