I had a dream one night not long ago, and not too long after I tried the First Angle. I'm an outsider to the cult, so I just did it out of curiosity.
Anyway, I dreamed that I was in a cave, and I was holding a tome, chanting, "Ia Ia Cthulhu Fhtagn," along with other things which I can't even remember. A hole began to appear in the ceiling, and tentacles slithered out. Then I stopped chanting, either fearing what horrors I'd unleash upon the world, or just deciding it wasn't yet the time to bring the Old Ones back.
So, could this have something to do with my trying the Angles, or could it have to do with my vision of reality blurring?

Cthulhu reaching out to you. He makes me overcome my fear of going insane again. Beware, he's merciless.

Sutter Cane, just out of curiosity; why is it you have not joined the Cult yet? You obviously add to the discussions here & are also experimenting with our rituals & philosophy, so what is holding you back from taking the final plunge & becoming a Herald of the Old Gods? It is obvious Cthulhu has an interest in you. This seems obvious from both your dream & other contributions you've made to the forum; is it a fear of commitment or fear of error?
Commitment is something you need to resolve for yourself, but I can tell you there are much more onerous organizations one can be committed to. As far as fear of error, membership would make greater resources available to you than you currently possess. I'm sure once you've made a commitment to the Emerald Lord that He will make a commitment to you in turn.
Feel free to Pm me or anyone else here you trust if you have questions or doubts. We'd be glad to help you.

Sutter Cane!!!
Sorry, just felt like yelling that:)
One time I was meditating &just as things were getting good WHAM! A wall of maggots appeared. Like a wall that was showing me something about my self. I was very disturbed say the least. But I understood it was because of the way I was living at the time. Far out huh?
My soul has always been very open with me in regards to what I should or shouldn't be doing. Which can suck:)
By the green fire that lights the way.
