I have been experiencing the 11:11 phenomenon lately, and I am completely....bewildered! Just started researching it tonight after it had come up in some of my Grotto research (11, or rather, specifically, 111 as being the sacred number of the Divine Silence).
So, check it out, and if you have been experiencing the phenomenon yourself...I would suggest that you BELIEVE. You will understand once you do. Here is something I thought was pertinent:

How interesting to find this site. I've already visited the 11:11 message board in the New Age section. There are so many of us from all over the world, from all walks of life who share the same experience; we all keep seeing the numbers 11:11.

interesting. for a long time, i've considered the number 111 to be my personal numeral, like that # was tied to me in some way. it represents singularity, trinity, and a pitchfork or trident at the same time. also, i used to live in apt. # 111 for three years just after graduating from college.

My sister and I keep noticing the time 10:23
After a few months of "Oh look, it's 10:23 again!" it occured to me that 10/23 was my sister's birthday. She freaked out, thinking that she was going to die. She didn't.
And H'smack'li was 5 hours away from starting this thread on 10/23!

i have the 23 thing happen to me a lot. But it comes in waves. For maybe a month i'll see it everywhere, and then i'll not see it for half a year. I think it's partly to do with the fact that you're looking for it, and partly spooky synchronicity.

I was once reading an article about a man who became obsessed with the number 23. I was on a coach journey and on the way we stopped off at newcastle to refuel. I had just finished the article, thought to myself, "what a load of junk" and looked out of the window to my left. Somone had spraypainted 23 on the wall in 5 feet high numerals. So that freaked me out. There were several other strange occurences of 23 that day too, but i can't remember them all.

I have heard that the number 11 is synonymous with magick. Aleister Crowley mentions it's importance in a few of his books. And if he said it it must be true.

A weird quirk of mine is whenever i have to set an alarm for something, i always set it for 23 minutes past. Even if it means i'm an hour earlier than i should be.

Yeah the number 23 seems to crop up a lot in my life.

I remember the first time we watched the Number 23. I was staying over a friends house and I'd taken acid with this one girl and we watched the movie and at the end of it we all FREAKED OUT hardcore, we could see 23 everywhere. We counted how many CD's were in his room and it was 23. We counted how many files on his computer's desktop and it was 23. Everytime we looked at the clock it was either x:23 or 23:xx (in 24 hour mode). The letters of ours and the dogs name added up to 23. On the 23rd of every month on his calendar there was a birthday, a death, a marriage, or some kind of special event. It flipped us out until we fell asleep at 7:23AM...well at least I did, because I got told about it the morning after...

So that's my freaky 23 tale. It hasn't really come up since. But I'm still on the lookout for it.

First of all, please do not think that I am belittling any of the experiences that have been posted here. I am merely proposing a theory. The human mind is wonderfully designed to make cognitive leaps with minimal data, however, it can also be easilly befuddled and distracted. As an experiment, pick a random number, no more than 3 digits. Draw that number nice and large on a piece of paper, and tape it to your bathroom mirror or some other place where you will see it on a regular basis. As you go about your day, see how many other times you see that number. For the truly perverse, start thinking about all the ways you can manipualte random information to somehow connect with that number.
It is my theory that this is a form of social-hack; somewhere, some one made a big deal about a number. The movie "23", for example, got everyone thinking about, and in turn seeing the number 23 everywhere. People get to feel special about being a part of the "phenomenon" and trick themselves. Somewhere, there are probably a couple of sociologists having a good chuckle.
Let's expand on the idea, just to be fair, and consider it as an actual phenomenon and not a trick of the sleeping mind. What does this serve? It would be wonderful if it was truly some communication from beyond, but what does it say? Is it as that author suggests; feel good about that moment? I mean, why not just tell yourself "at 1pm each day, I am going to take a moment to just relax and feel good". It's the same thing, sans the buzz of being a part of "the mystery". Is it just the universe going "hey, look at me?" or worse..."look what I can do!"?
It is worth while to look for patterns in the "reality" around us, if just to see how to use or break their hold on us. But, a pattern that serves no purpose, in my opinion, just lulls you further into the vice by distracting you from worthwhile applications of your time.

I think alot of these numbers seem relevant just do to human associations.Someone got the idea to associate something to seeing 11:11 making it a symbol for that person. For a while I believed if I saw 3:33 something pivotal to my life would occure due to associating it with Crowley's Choronzon.It was anything but productive.Following the destructive pattern of my association,bad things happened just because I believed it would.

Things like this can become imprisoning based on what YOU associate things with.It doesn't occur to me anymore because I stripped such associations away.A fair warning though-If a group or culture (subculture) associate something with a number like 11:11 leave it alone.You'll just be buying into their prison.If anything make your own associations.

11:11 means Im getting laid for example (which would be awesome in reality).It's almost like enchanting a certain point in time now that I think about it.Good magical applications,I gotta get to work with this.

Associations + affirmation = a symbol
Better to make a symbol your own than being consumed by someone elses madness.

11:11 to me has come to mean change. Usually in what ever I'm thinking about at the moment i see it, or what i was thinking about in the time leading up to it.

Strangely I just feel an inner peace when I see it.Hasn't occurred recently.

I started to see numbers like 2:12 or 2:02 alot more frequently though.Had nothing to make of it so I figured a number like 2:12 or 3:13 or 4:14 ,etc .represents a reflection of self.Usually something happens to me like some kind of test of my character producing deep introverted thought.I figure a 1 can seem like a line of symmetry reflecting whats on one side on the other.When I happen to glance and see this,its a preparation for a possible internal disruption of the mind in my reality tunnel.

Also see numbers like 1:01, 2:02,3:03 etc.Although much rarer, they usually appear when I am in a different phase of thinking,acting,things feel much different and new too.Numbers like 1:01,2:02,3:03 etc are the passage through a gateway of sorts for me,as though I were in some kind of new yet similar reality.Zero is a hole ,a gateway. What is on one side of the zero appears to be on the other but it is not.Although it appears the same, it is like a copy that consciousness has been moved through.I usually happen to glance at the clock and see this after coming to peace or terms with myself,as though the I's were unanimous and not in conflict.
It's extremely rare for me to see for this reason,my Is are always in conflict and Im the furthest from an true waking progress on this forum admittedly.

10:10...Utter confusion.If anyone else can make anything of it I dunno.I am unable to imprint any meaningful associations merely because I see a mirror,then a gate,then a mirror and gate again...It just is,time stands still.Same with 12:12...confusing.

11:11 are so brief when I do see them.Previous association was everything falling smoothly into place.4 mirrors just drop in perfect synchronicity.Timing of everything from mundane train/bus arrivals to deeper things like "lucking out " or having perfect timing occur.Not sure what to make of the meaning behind 4 mirrors though.1:11 is like this too although the good timing period is more brief.

Note,usually seeing the times is not anticipated or deliberate,it just occurs.If you look and wait ffor the time (such as 4:20 or maybe 11:11 or other example other members gave),it loses its somewhat magical effect ...lust for results?

I wonder if being caught in the ebb and flow of theese time syncs means that somehow we were able to enchant the fabric of time itself.Could this notion be false due to the fact that we have to consciously see it first?Perhaps we were meant to...or maybe we have found a way to use time as a symbol that is very real and magical in nature?This would be very interesting because a lot of people who are being swept into these time associated phenomena do not practice magic or the occult.Time magic...sorry for the rant but it made me think.

If we could try to evoke the time itself...not blindly of course...what kind of entities would we get?It reminds me of what I read about the Egyptian underworld.Rather than levels of hell,it is broken down into hours.The soul is broken into pieces after death and each piece is put through a trial at each hour.Failure of these test terminates in being stuck or death of the soul/or parts thereof.I can't give you a reference of the book,my memory is too vague so I could be wrong but its what I remember from researching the Amduat.It makes me wonder if the Egyptians were really legitimately on to something.What strange enigmatic teachings may the Ancient Ones bestowed upon them if any...I dunno but i am definitely sorry if I ranted off topic,brain went into happy mode lol.

You made that?That was preety cool.Who knows what sort of sigils and thing you can hide in something like that or hidden intents?People would stare for hours trying to see something or concentrate in vacuity and the brilliance of making something like that becomes clear.

Yes, human perception is a funny thing.

I have just played a couple of tetris games online,

The first one was great, except it has this "ghost block" function which shows where the blocks are going to hit, that sucks but it can easily be disabled (to the left of the game). This game has the classic melody and everything.

Saw 11:11 and 12:12 last night.Nothing seems any different...Aside from realizing I wanna go astral again. Nope nothing seems different at all.

During 11:11 was putting out the trash thinking of reptoids and serpents.During 12:12 I made a dash for the bathroom.The sleep meds were starting to kick in so I felt disoriented.Nothing unusual at all though...Im actually very disappointed lol!
