hello and welcome to the new CoC forum. i almost thought we'd never get to this point... i imagined having a place to host discussions for a long while now. i'm Darrick David Dishaw aka Venger Satanis, High Priest of the Cult of Cthulhu. 31 year old caucasian male of French, German, and Irish ancestry (mainly). i've been drawn to the 'dark stuff' all my life. after realizing that other groups were too restrictive, didn't have enough flexibility, or understood only a part of the Big Picture... i decided to forge my own magic/religious/philosophical organization. i'm a sorcerer, occultist, horror & scifi lover, artist, alien sex fiend, relationship guru, chef with one specialty (pasta alfredo), and writer... among other things. my favorite colors are green, red, and purple. please feel free to contact me because who wants a Cult where you only get to speak with middle management? i never want to lose touch with casual supporters, let alone official members! nothing is true, everything is permitted. adios, VS www.CultofCthulhu.net

wait a minute... talk about 'catch 22' Venger you said we have to kill for you alfredo but you also said not to post it if we kill somebody. but hey you do have that splendidly satanic 'feel' in your looks... you remind me of Anton Szandor LaVey in a way. I don't judge someone by the way they look more of the way the feel... not physically but emotionally and psychicly(?)...

yep, that's life for you... full of inconsistencies. if someone needs destroying, then use magic. if physical confrontation is unavoidable (self defense, for instance), then do what you must.
something tangible like my alfredo is not worth killing someone over; however, intangible Dread Cthulhu is. discuss!

yeah magic can work as good as conventional methods i suppose if one were to truly HATE someone it would be relatively easy to get rid of them i suppose with that particular emotion... being it is very strong what other emotions other than hate, love, and greed can lead to the intentional death of someone? (i.e. using conventional methods) I mean people don't usually shoot people because the person flicked 'em of in traffic. They usually kill someone because they believe they have been horribly wronged, they believe something has been stolen from them, or they believe the person has horribly wronged a person the deeply care for.

So far I have, although I had to take some time out for finals. Now that they're over I look forward to diving back into the abyss and fishing out some more tasty morsels of knowledge.

yup, speaking of finals, and general scholasticism, what are all of your occupations? I do not intend to pass judgments of make errant unfair assumptions, i am merely curious as to how children of the order make their way in this world. there is a generalized bias about people such as ourselves--chiefly that we are disgruntled underemployed misanthropic white 20-somethings who spend most of their time basking in the pallid glow of a computer monitor, expectorating their distaste for a society, culture, and philosophies which have disfavored them. .............Cthulhu Fthagn!!

hello from Miami,Fla.
I am pretty much new at being in any Occult Forum, dont really care much for messageboards in particular...but I saw this one and the discussions look interesting, and the people here seem open minded.
I am a 42 yr female, Cuban American. I have been reading and practicing the Occult for the past 25 years and counting.
Really dont fit into any catagory, as far as any Magickal group in particular. I am basically a Solitary Witch, I worship the Goddess in her many forms, two being Tiamat and Lilith.
Never really been able to find like minded people to discuss the Occult before so dont mind me if I appear a bit shy.

Hello Maria. I have long been a solitary practioner myself. Also Tiamat and Lilith, these two Goddess forms have long meant something to me.
I hope that you do not feel the need to be very shy while you are here.

I like the followers of Cthulhu and the Satanist here...very interesting people. With all the negative stuff I heard about them thru the years, I had to find out for myself what they were really like. Blessed Be Maria

Welcome here! I too can recognize the phenomena of being a solitary theorist/practitioner. When i finally got online some years ago, i was quite amazed just how many people shared my interests and speculations or something close to them anyway. We are a mixed breed here, that is actually one of our tools, i think. To be able to come together and debate across of our differences. About satanism, (in my eyes) Left hand path people usually have a worse reputation than they deserve, but not always of course, lol. Just like right hand path people often have a BETTER reputation that THEY deserve, still, not always of course. But often ;D Be as shy as you will ;D I hope that you find the forum fruitful and enjoyable.

Hope you can forgive my spelling, its really bad sometimes....well to be honest ALL of the time Thanks for the welcome. Yes, indeed I have read some books on Witchcraft were the authors are really paranoid about the left handed path, they really dont like it when Christians put Wicca with the Church of Satan in one bag. To be honest, alot of the "New Age" Witchcraft books out there are really nothing but fluff. There are only a handful of Witchcraft authors that are worth their salt Maria

Hello all I was a pure wiccan, but when I recognized the name Cthulhu one day, I began to investigate. Now that I know more about the philosophies of the Cthulhu following, I dont know what I am anymore.
On one hand I love the thought of nature and peace, and on the other I wish to see human kind trying to escape a fiery apocalypse. I am always drawn towards the darkness of the world, and this seems to be satisfying my hunger.
For now my soul is torn asunder, but please allow me to partake in your community. Now, I noticed in some of the other topics that Cthulhu is being credited to lovecraft. I have a small archive on Cthulhu, and wish to know what you know of its origins. Just tell me what you know of humanities first encounter with it, not Cthulhu actual origin.
I look forward to your reply.

Hello and welcome here, i hope that this place will aid you in your path. I also enjoy nature a lot. The name Cthulhu, as we know it today, was created by the writer Lovecraft. But we are many who suspect that Lovecraft tapped into something primeval, something which can still be tapped into today, some of us think that his writings are more prophecy than fiction. For instance, what he described in The Call of Cthulhu, the way and nature of Cthulhus call and how it effects people, i can recognize that. But what Cthulhu is in all his nature, and just how old he is, i cannot say.

Excellent, you have said just as I suspected. Now let me enlighten you, the thought that Lovecraft first documented Cthulhu is a pure misconception. Cthulhu was actually first referenced in the holy arabic doctrine, The Koran. The Koran was delivered by the angel Gabriel. Gabriel also appears in both Christianity and Catholicism. I hope you find this knowledge as intriguing as I did, and may Cthulhu smile upon you. ;D

Yes khathoolu or khadhulu Its in S.25 verse 29 according to Simon and verse 30 according to my Qu'ran. I first read it in the "Dark History of the Necronomicon" by Simon. I have a Qu'ran and in there it just says "Satan or adversary" in the translation. I can not read Arabic so i cannot say if the text really says Khathuulo. I read that Lovecraft was interested in Islam when he was a child, btw. EDIT: Even Greenland BEEN knowing what the deal is. Inuit sculpture in museum, picture taken by forum member librabysBig version good-times.webshots.com/photo/2610700390103349683WxqZWCHere is the topic the picture comes fromcocthulhu.proboards105.com/index.cgi?board=goo&action=display&thread=395&page=1And who can forget the horrible octopus sea god Iku-Turso also known as the thousand headed or the thousand horned. Iku-Tursoen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iku-TursoAnd there is Na Kika the octopus god. from bp.com Octopus god once worshiped by inhabitants of the Gilbert Islands. According to legend, Na Kika’s tentacles moved the earth upward from the bottom of the sea to form islands, beaches and rocks. Also, the beast of the end revelations rising from the sea sounds a bit familiar. Ia! Aipaloovik! Ia! Iku Turso! Ia! Ia! Cthulhu fhtagn!
