FOURTEEN LESSONS IN YOGI PHILOSOPHY by Yogi Ramacharaka. About 10 years ago I found this little gem in a local second hand bookstore. I subsequently loaned it to a friend after my first read and never got it back. I am happy to say I have found it again online as a free pdf. If you can sift through some of the white light leanings of this book, there is some very valuable esoteric/occult knowledge within. The book goes into detail regarding thought transference, the nature and power of thought, human magnetism, mesmerism, the astral world, uses of pranic energy, etc. This book was written in the early 1900's and is presented as a group of lessons or lectures by the author. It's well worth a read. Here is the link to the pdf; www.yogiramacharaka.com/YogiPhilosophy.pdfEnjoy! Awake!

An extract of this text (p. 111) :
"We allude to such objectionable practice such as [...] repulsive rites of the black magicians, and other similar practices we do not consider wisdom to even mention. [...] Our work is intended to elevate our students, not to drag them down to the level of black magicians"

As a comment to the extracted text .... Personally I see the work we do as self enlightening and used to elevate us. Are we not looking to ascertain levels of godhood to shed the sleepy mortal coil we have so comfortably clung to all this time? I see it this way anything you use to better yourself regardless of its originial intentions can be elevating its more a question of putting your personal dogmas aside and adapting things to your own paradigm. For example as a cthulhu cultist and someone who practiced with the Lovecraftian pantheon through chaos magick before i joined the ranks of the CoC, ive adapted rituals invocations and correspondences from a plethora of very different sources into elder god/cthulhu friendly workings.Everything from high magick ritual to medieval demonolgy from the ars goetia to shamanistic astral projection and dreaming to use of the loas from haitian voodun. I see it as pretty much anything can be used for anything if you have the will and belief.
Feedback please

I totally agree with you. Their is much knowledge to be gained from certain books such as this. It's just a matter of separating the wheat from the chaff. Anything that you find valuable can be added to your personal paradigm. Everything else should be discarded.

I really need to check out those Tyson books rylehsambassador. I can't seem to find them where I live. I'll have to most likely order from Amazon when I get my finances in order. I have heard of the Grand Grimoire and may have it in my ebook collection. If so, I'll definitely have a look at it. Thanks for the tip! Awake!
