Well, this seemed like a fitting place to put this. Thought it would be nice to have somewhere for Cultists to post favorite aphrodisiac, "love potions", and even seduction techniques. Share your wisdom, brothers and sisters.
One of my favorite aphrodisiac drinks has to be hot milk heated with brandy, lavender, cloves, cinnamon, and honey. Nice for a soothing, comforting atmosphere just before bed. I've known people to find this a good drink to add narcotics too, but, as all sensible people know, this is illegal and totally up the discretion of the witch.

Oooh, Nag Champa is lovely. I find patchouli really effective too.

great topic overall; however, i wouldn't douse my worst enemy in patchouli. probably the biggest turn-off i can think of (for me personally).

Really gotta agree with Venger. Patchouli reminds me of cat piss. Really don't get the Goths and Hippies that seem to bathe in the stuff. Eeeew

Hmm everyone's skin reacts differently with certain oils and changes the smell ever so slightly. But I have to say that I've had nothing but success with the scent (even when I wasn't even looking for action!). But I put that down to using it in subtle amounts, and the way it blends with my own smell and pheromones.
But I do only use the essential oil (often diluted with almond or apricot oil), as I find the synthetic stuff does indeed smell like cat piss. There's a vast difference in the smell. But, like I said, it comes down to the person wearing it at the end of the day.

Patchouli makes me ill. I used to work with this guy, who literally bathed in it. It was so strong, it gave me a headache and I avoided him like the plague. Now, just a hint of the scent makes me ill. So yah, I'd consider it a turn-off, rather than a turn on.
Now, a man doused in Amber? Well, that's a different story all together. Rawr.

There you go. Point proven. It takes a certain amount, on the right person - cos results don't lie.
And yah, I totally agree. Amber is a sexy scent.

I also totally recommend spicy foods to get the "juices flowing", so to speak. Particularly seafood like oysters, calamari (Ia, Ctulhu fhtagn! ) and green-lip mussels. Wash it down with a nice Riesling or Gewurtstramina, or saki (for the adventurous), and you'll be well on your way.
