just received this book last night. barely dived into its scholarly investigation of the LHP, but i can already see the tome's value. i've known about Lords of the Left Hand Path for years, but just never bothered to acquire it. i'm glad i finally did.
i'll update this thread with a review when i've finished the book.

I checked out the book on Amazon, this review was helpful:
"Lords of the Left-Hand Path: A History of Spiritual Dissent by Stephen E. Flowers, Ph.D. is a comprehensive rundown on all the major Left-Hand Path movements in recorded history and the personalities that shaped them. Here is a literal textbook showcasing not only the histories, but the actual beliefs and teachings of ancient cults, forbidden religious sects, medieval heretics, Faustian libertines and modern occultists.
Dr. Flowers clearly defines the difference between the benign white-light mysticism of the Right-Hand Path and the more volitile realm of the Left-Hand Path, and devotes his emphasis to the latter. Philosophers of the dark side, Satanists, even the Nazis themselves are examined with unheard-of objectivity and detail.
With extensive bibliographical notes and numerous useful diagrams and illustrations, this book strips away the cloak of confusion and mystery surrounding these highly controversial subjects with tremendous clarity and insight.
This is not a sensationalist propaganda piece or an oversimplified work of condemnation from an outside source. Perhaps the most "disturbing" aspect of this book is not its subject matter, but the disparity between the lurid myths attributed to its subjects and the reality discovered under the light of diligent scholarship.
Thus this book is truly "forbidden." It earns my highest possible recommendation. "
I may check it out. Thanks for posting.

I bought this book ten years ago and I must say I was disappointed! It had so many alterations to the text and just plain errors that thought I was receiving a censored copy! The TOS are priggish about the info they release!

still can't give you a precise verdict since i'm trying to read at least 3 books at a time, but so far i find it worth my while. it had interesting things to say about Gurdjieff, Ouspensky, and the 4th way. both Flowers and i reached similar conclusions about the LHP applications of the Work.
i paid $35 for the large softcover. scoured the internet, but couldn't find a cheaper price.
by the way, how is your English/Spanish 4th way book? did you finish it?
