thank you, HP. you keep REALLY helping me on this. im seeing my reaing and research really start to gel, as i keep getting a better grasp on the terminology im able to look into my life and remember what i do and when, and how i usually think, and what i need to do to change it.
like as of right now i can tell you that i have a HUUUUUGE fucking problem with Internal Considering. thats probably my biggest obstacle. since i learned that term last night the light came on and i realized "holy shit, THAT'S what im doing all the time!"
so internal considering is the one that cant be changed while its happening, correct? i have to think about it when im not doing it, and formulate a strategy for overcoming it accordingly? or am i thinking of another phenomenon?
and, as a brief aside... was Ouspensky more "secular" than Gurdjieff? from what ive read G references Xianity a lot more than O. ive been thinking about ordering some of G's work, but it gives me a headache trying to sift out the altruistic, touchy-feely Xtian shit so i dont want to if its all like that.
i swear its so funny that he based the bulk of his work on ancient egyptian beliefs, stating they were a Xtian society thousands of years before Christ. that people still arent putting 2 and 2 together and seeing the latter is a blatant plagiarism of the former....
back to my main question though... what, in your opinion, are the best exercises and/or strategies for erasing Internal Consideration from my mental playbook, and by that same token boosting External Consideration?
im going to check out that link right now, if have questions about that ill post to this thread. ill say it again, thank you for all your time HP!!! im serious anything you need done for the Cult in SD you let me know!
