My good camera is borrowed out, so i had to take these shots with another one. It has major light difficulties. NAT(dark lighting)(lighter lighting)For this picture i tried to emulate the painting style of Venger Satanis, (even got some pointers). I learned a lot from painting it, mainly about mixing color but there is a looong way from this to an actual Venger piece. I have a long way to go. NAT means night in Danish. I tried to paint one of Vengers serpent men. I painted this with acrylic paint on the back of one of those cheap picture frames (you know those ones where the glass always brakes eventually and you are left with the back ;D) Ia! Ia! Walpurgis Nacht!----------------------------------------------------------- This next one is not even fully dry yet. It was painted with acrylic paint on wood. The blue pattern started out as a natural pattern in the wood. KUKKALOTUS(close-up)(full painting)(from "Children of the End" by Yahn'ikthorn) Viimeinen mahdollisuus tänään Ostakaa ja myykää kaikkenne Eilistä ei ollut sittenkään Suuri Huijaus enteineencocthulhu.proboards105.com/index.cgi?board=fiction&action=display&thread=1310I am really beginning to enjoy this painting thing. I have become less impatient with my paint. I have stopped trying to finish stuff in one sitdown. I still like that way of working, but i like to try out other methods. ;D

Thank you both for the kind words. You have both been (and are) inspirations to me in many ways. So really, you are the ones who are great and beautiful

I certainly notice the Venger influence there. Yes, and I agree with the rest, these are very good. ;D
I think that Venger could put out an HP Lovecraft themed art book with collections of his and member illustrations.

Cool, perhaps we can meet in Copenhagen if you do. There is not much to see here though. Living here in the flatlands, i look with great passion at the wonderful nature of your land.
Screw Germany, Sweden is where i am running to if the shit hits the fan ;D Denmark is a small piece of coast soil now populated with a funny breed. There is not much here but us the population, and most of us are focused on working, consuming and watching those fabulous television shows that run, seemingly more endless than the slumber of the Dream One. ;D
Thanks, and yes, i agree.
But i do believe getting color images printed in books is rather expensive. Thats ONE of the reasons art books always cost half an arm. It could be cool though.

yeah, I suppose so.
It could be done in black and white, though the reader wouldn't get the full effect....
