Ía Dread Cthulhu!
Just wondering if anyone has read the ‘Grimoire of the Necronomicon’ by Donald Tyson? I have read it a few times now and am surprised at some of the conclusions he arrives at. He says that it is a Grimoire that teaches a true cult of the Great Old Ones yet his interpretations of the revelations of H.P. Lovecraft are… strange. Don’t get me wrong, it has a lot of great information in it (when he sticks to the original teachings) but is also very misleading. I believe it is no longer in print anymore. I don’t know why as it wasn’t published for long.

You are correct about a lot here. There is a lot of inaccurate information that is not accurate to Lovecraft in Tyson's work. We will not be using it as a major reference in our Black Book of Nyarlathotep. We will be using the original mythos Circle and Lovecraft himself as who we reference the most.

Hello, sorry for my late reply, I have been away. I think it’s for the best not to use his works. The crazy thing is is that there is actually a ‘cult/religion/movement’ (I’m not sure what to call it) that has developed from his teachings in this book, the ‘Order of the Old Ones’. They claim it to be the ‘true’ Lovecraftian religion
