Greetings brethren. I'm quite frankly intrigued after recieving notice of the boards activation. Sin and Venger still around? Don't know anyone else. Hi! Hail!

Welcome brother! I'm Shawn, nice to meet you. Venger is out kicking ass and taking names and Sin's out doing what she's always done -- walking her own furiously unique path. Here VS's last project.

Anybody as an idea on why Master Satanis wanted $2,000 for funding the publication of his new book ?? I thought he was rich as hell ! Maybe it's a kind of advertising..

Well, for one, art is expensive, and to produce a DnD module or book (of any kind) for 2000 USD is a bargain. Another thing is that in the self-publishing RPG world, getting a kick starter funded is proof you've got talent and not just some kid saying "look at my l33t new shit". And, speaking as a fan ans someone whose funded his last two, I can say I'll continue to buy his books in advance.

And, your premise would also suggest that Steven King should have given his following books away for free as soon a one was successful...
