That movie, Dogville, deserves attention !
A young and pretty woman, full of innocence and kindness, escapes from her father who wanted to make of her a gangster as him. She's asking protection to the citizens of the small town of Dogville, gets it, and then do her best to be as kind as possible with everybody so that she will be accepted and appreciated. If you know anything about human nature, it's no surprise that she's NOT rewarded for that...
part 1&2 :
"Given the circumstances, maybe they did their best, but their best was not good enough..." I approve her final decision, and you ?
A very original realization of the movie, too, which permits us to focus on the core of the subject.

The people of the town become users and abusers because of the lack of internal restraints.
She kills the people of the town because she internally considers and makes accounts.
Which one is the core subject?
