Anyone got any books of either Necronomicon series? The Tyson version is more faithful to the Mythos

I've read all 4 Tyson necronomicon books (even "alhazred") and it definitely pays more homage to lovecraft than simon. that said simon seems to have a bigger fear factor, mostly because you are working against the old ones in his necronomicon using Sumerian deities. it makes the seals of the old ones in the simon version all the more frightening to use than the one in say the "grimoire of the necronomicon" by Tyson (which I found to have a bit too much order for such a chaotic pantheon). overall I prefer the Tyson books, but to be fair I've only read the simon necronomicon and not the others associatied such as simon's necronomicon spellbook of his history of the necronomicon. I wanted to learn of lord Cthulhu not Marduk, so I saw no purpose in working with books designed for (what seemed like) Sumerian magic.

[teal]I would say that Simon is a much better system from a practise perspective, even though it has nothing to do with the Mythos.[/teal]
