So also I had another thought. Does anything we really do in this life truly have meaning? Think about it! The end is always the same, death! So with that in mind, is it perhaps possible to transcend death or is this yet another lie we often tell ourselves?

[teal]Why is death even relevant? The universe itself will decay due to heat-death. Permanence is a mortal concept in the same sense as perfection is. Meaning is entirely defined by a perceiver, implied meaning is of the same order as morality. Once again, an immaterial construct. These are constructs of object oriented thought.
Nihilism is like a self-imposed blindness. Sure, you can say, nothing in our lives has meaning. You'd be right, you would be entirely correct. But you completely miss the entire point of those constructs that exist in the first place. You see their outer meaning, without seeing the deeper, hidden meanings.
A four dimensional object appears to us as a number of completely non-connected three-dimensional objects.[/teal]

Which would suggest that nothing is permanent then? As far as I know, you are correct for entropy is indeed the way of things. The reason why I present it here is because this entropy is inevitable and must somehow be dealt with within the psyche, lest we all go quite mad... Wait a minute?
Anyway, you could just as easily take the argument in the other direction and say that entropy is inevitable and thus quite relevant? And so the real crux of the conversation becomes obvious, what do you deem as important? Of course, importance is an entirely relative concept and what may be important to me might not mean anything to you and vice versa? And so the real question is, where do you draw the line?

[teal]I don't draw the line at all. I'm a pointillist, I draw with many small dots, for optimal detail and an enhanced sense of depth. I'm not sure how that fits into the context, but I'm sure it does.
Either way, preparing for the inevitable is common sense, and brooding on the inescapable is masturbating with sandpaper.[/teal]

"Like a flame burning away the darkness,
Life is flesh and bone convulsing above the ground."
This is my wisdom. Above all spiritualistic bullshit, this sort of to-the-point statement is the highest knowledge somebody can give in order to put things in perspective as how they are. Tell this statement above to a fundamentalist, and than tell them to prove you wrong.
Your 'life' is just slimey, juicy, twitching, spasming tissue walking above dirt. Your consciousness is not life, but the result of (scientifically proven) sensory input allowing for a created worldview over a period of many months after birth.
