Years ago when I worked for a Military Brokerage, even though our corporate policy read: No discussions of religion or politics the CEO went around the office asking who we were voting for in the Bush vs. Clinton campaign. If a person wasn't voting Republican he would give them a rash and a shit and basically bully them. I laughed, pointed out the hypocrisy and bolstered that I was voting for Clinton (even though I was a pretty head strong Republican back then). It just made sense, and I'm glad I did. He was using our business industry to puffer and peacock a Republican agenda. Our business relied on a shit ton of government spending. And believe me when I say, it's all corrupt.
Later, post 9/11 there was an even tougher 'office campaign' to get the Dems to vote Republican for the same reason. The war on Terror produced millions of dollars in profits to the company and shady business practices. The military over-spent and often times for bullshit they didn't need. I also worked in import/exports and the foreign trade contracts would make you want to put a gun to your head.
It's among the reasons I got out of the industry and resigned my career of nearly 20 years. I absolutely hated the corruption, bureaucratic bullshit, and leaning on the lower - middle class as cash cows. Military personnel are grossly under paid, and the retail contracting sector was targeting them to spend their money giving it back to the government by pulling on their 'honor and duty' strings like puppets.
Republican = War = Profits
