One book I studied in my college philosophy course was The Advantage and Disadvantage of a History for Life by Friedrich Nietzsche. To summarize this book, it says that while history does have valuable lessons, it also has the capability of paralyzing one with fear and disabling their ability to act. I've been working with this concept on and off for quite some time now and have come to realize that an objective view is necessary in order to determine the true value of things. I've just come to realize that the same goes for a personal philosophy as well as the personal mythology. The difference therein is in the latter case, one is able to change and modify in order to suite certain needs. This can in turn allow one to create philosophy and mythology that is truly perfect for the individual!

Mark Twain writes: "History doesn't repeat but it sure does rhyme..."
I wonder, how can you view things objectively from your subjective experiences?
Scenario:
You meditate. You receive messages from your guides.
How do you plan on reviewing these messages objectively? In other words, do you have a plan?

I'm almost always "open" now that I have trained my spiritual sensitivity and I routinely receive messages. I don't always know what they mean at first, but that's part of the fun for me! To explore and unravel new mysteries!

The disadvantages of history is this, the Winners write history and the losers are forgotten.
