After seeing the unique red Cthulhu on Venger's youtube, i had to make my own . the tentacles were inspired by Giger's monsters. i used thick rubbery fabric paint to out line his tentacles making them 3d, same with the eyes. in candle light you really feel him staring at you. A.o.113 Attachments:

That's awesome! I'm glad you posted it here.
Were you intentionally going for a primitive aesthetic or something else? How do you see Dread Cthulhu? Does Giger often come into your visualization or was it just for this piece? How big is the artwork? Was this your first time interpreting the true Lord?
By His loathsome tentacles,

Some thing primitive and tribal. He is about 4 feet high and maybe two across so i gave it lots of focus what i was picking up, it got more and more chaotic thin lines became huge smears. Started feeling some kind of anger inside after i finished not at any thing specific but at reality i guess. the picture below is when i started to blend the tentacle image with a monster mask im making for music vids. Great use of tactile. Gave me some ideas for a piece I'm working on now. Inspiration! Now that's magic!
