Hello, In my last post i was directed to the cult of cthulhu website and the writings of h.p lovecraft to improve my understanding of this cult, the cthulhu mythos and answer any questions i had. Since then i have read the things written on the cult of cthulhu website many times and tried hard to find a copy of one of lovecrafts books (and failed) in my attempts to become a true coc member. I feel now that i am fully a worshipper of the great cthulhu and accept him as my creator however i have a dilemma. How do i worship him? I realised that i do not know how to do more to connect with cthulhu and connect with my cult than think alot and visit the forums. Help! is there more i could be doing? my friend asked me about my religion a day or so ago and asked if the cult had any holy book, place of worship, special practices and so on but i could not tell him as i didn't know, and i feel as if i should. i dont even know what "ai ai cthulhu fhtagn" means. Just give your address to Master Satanis (or to me) and you will receive a free copy .pdf of our bible, "Cthulhu Cult". Or Google "cthulhu cult free" and you will find a link to download it.
Ia Ia Cthulhu fhtagn ! means : Yeah (yes) Yeah Cthulhu dreams !
Awake !

How do you worship cthulhu?
Now there's a big answer to that question unfortunately I'm at work so i will have to keep it brief. We don't just worship cthulhu in the same way Christians do yahweh.
We use cthulhu and the A:O(ancient Ones) in conjunction with chaos magick(usually) and the 4th way. Chaos magi ck is a system of occult magick that for the most part is an entirely different platform from which to shout. It allows, nay proves that the exact deity worshiped, invoked, evoked whatever is irrelevant. What is important is the method and execution.
So when we use Cthulhu or Yog-Sothoth or Azathoth etc. in magick yes we are literally calling to these entities. but the exact powers behind them may just easily respond to other names. Why the mythos then, well it has quality to it that many would say brings another dimension to their magick, i know i would. The fact these things are known to be 'fictional' can be a speed bump for some, but anyone who has tried earnestly would say that for fictional deities there names hold a resonance of power.

the two best authors i can think of are Peter Carroll and Phil Hine.
www.chaosmatrix.org/library/chaos.php
this site isn't to bad either. Venger discusses chaos magic in Cthulhu Cult as well, but more specific to the CoC. Also if you look hard enough some of the better books can be found for free as pdf.s
