My name is Beorc (chosen, not given) and I have been a big fan of Lovecraft ever since I saw the film adaptation of the Call of Cthulhu and read a few of his short stories.
I've been drifting between the left-hand paths for a while since my father passed away in 2010. I went through a rough patch where I was severely depressed and overall disgusted with organized religion (still am somewhat).
I became a LaVeyan Satanist (you know the type: looks down upon religious people, wants to argue with everyone who's religious. carries around the Satanic Bible in public places to look cool), but left once I eventually cooled down and "forgave" religion in general and continued to only dislike organized religion.
I then became and am still pretty much a Norse Heathen. I do, however, have ADHD and become bored with things very easily (and I do mean anything). I became interested in chaos magic after having found out about it through a local pagan group I used to be a part of. Chaos magic led me through lots of different doors (Discordianism, Luciferianism, etc) and eventually to here as well.
Though this won't be the last step on my spiritual journey, I'd still like it to be one that helps me grow so that I can at last make an informed decision as to which path is right for me.
I look forward to sharing my experiences and receiving your counsel and insight in days to come.
Wassail,
Beorc
PS. Beorc means Birch in Anglo-Saxon so you may call me Birch if you like. I chose the name Birch because it reminds me of my father, although that is a story for another time (one which I am happy to share if asked).
