Something has to be done. Some of us are working, but when you have a family, a 8 hour/day job, a house to repair and the 1001 little distractions and concerns of everyday, it is too easy to find pretenses to stay asleep or to "do it later".
When your only link to the higher forces is your computer with a link on your navigator between news.com and porn.com, you must admit you could have better.
Most of us have no real and established plan for the Work, or if we have one, nobody is waiting for the results and so "this will be done later". What we plan could be flawed. At least it is probably not well balanced, didn't you forgot the creative part, for instance ?
I don't think Master Satanis ever refused his help but he cannot do everything for everyone.
I propose the Mutual Coaching Project : - To form small groups of 3 or 4. - To open a new & private forum for each group because it will contain private data. - Each member will thoroughly expose his present situation and his goals. - The plan of Work is discussed for everyone. - And here is the core of the project, the member will not be on his own, every week or twice a week, the others will ask him what he did, what are his results, and will send him mails to remind him he has to do something.
Please tell what you think of this idea, and if you like it then contact me or reply here.
Don't worry, be happy, make efforts.

I think its a great idea, and kudos for recognizing the need.
I'm in contact with roughly 6 people on a daily basis. That's a group in itself, but each person has different needs and is Working towards different goals.
Should the groups be goal specific, or is the idea to provide a more intimate setting for feedback and dialogue?

I waited a while but no more answers. Nobody contacted me neither.
6 peoples, with me and Priestess Cora'Sahn we can make two groups if they want. Who are they ? Can you ask them please ?
I think it's better to not have goal specific groups.

I apologize for not posting earlier. Family issues have taken up a lot of my time, as has my art.
If you are still willing to add people, I would be very interested.

I have contacted everyone via PM, and posted it to the Social Network as well for anyone I missed.
I'll let you know when I've received responses back from everyone.

Thanks for posting your acceptance here Hellslave. I just need your email addy. We are linked on FB, I was thinking of creating a private and closed group for this project for ease of access, just waiting to see if everyone on my list is game. Some people on my list are not on FB.
I will keep you updated.

What exactly is the purpose of this little shindig? It sounds like an encouragement/motivation/intervention sort of thing -- am I right? I'd be curious to see more about this, because Nyarlathotep knows that my own practice of the Work could certainly use some... work. [glow=red,2,300]Ia! Ia! Cthulhu fhtagn![/glow]

I love the idea! I had something similar a year ago but it wasn't as focused like your idea, count me in! Things have been weird for me lately & I want to make sure I take advantage for Cthulhu's sake!
Awaken people!

As far as the purpose goes, I'd handle it like a more intensive study/praxis group.

Yrreiht,
Could you please outline what you did have in mind? You mentioned that the FB group was not exactly what you were looking for, or what you envisioned. Could you elaborate?
It seems to be working well for everyone involved.

What I want is 2 or 3 fellow cultists who have objectives, and the will to work for them.
First the objectives are established, and everybody MUST give comments.
In the group of 3 or 4 I envision, everybody will maybe 3 times a week expose what he did the past 2 days. If he do not or if he write things such as "I was busy so I did nothing", I expect the others to send him personal e-mail, reminding him he has to do so.
The name for this group could be "mutual ass kicking group", the intention is to progress toward the objectives without allowing a member to stay idle. Because this is one of my problems, and I think I'm not an exception.
So, here is my call cultist ! I'll make this group, who is with me ?
Now is the moment of awakening.

Now is the moment of awakening. We are doing this in the group, but on a bit of a bigger scale. 16 (including myself). I created polls to inquire what each person was working towards, not just goals but deconstruction of the self. We converse daily, fine-tuning concepts as well as reminding each other of The Work to be done.
The activity you are proposing, I refer to as the 'hot seat' in my grotto. It's likened to a beat down in Fight Club. In order to see yourself ascend, you must break yourself down.
Incidentally, I watched the film again last night. It's a great movie to review to see the parallels between the construction and deconstruction of Tyler Durden and each person conducting The Work.
Tyler’s First Rule of Innovation:
“No fear. No distractions. The ability to let that which does not matter truly slide.”
Tyler’s Second Rule of Innovation:
“No fear! No distractions! The ability to let that which does not matter truly slide!”
Tyler’s Third Rule of Innovation:
“I say never be complete, I say stop being perfect, I say let’s evolve, let the chips fall where they may.”
Tyler’s Fourth Rule of Innovation:
“It’s only after we’ve lost everything that we’re free to do anything.”
Tyler’s Fifth Rule of Innovation:
“You’re not your job. You’re not how much money you have in the bank. You’re not the car you drive. You’re not the contents of your wallet. You’re not your fucking khakis.”
Tyler’s Sixth Rule of Innovation:
“People do it everyday, they talk to themselves… they see themselves as they’d like to be, they don’t have the courage you have, to just run with it.”
Tyler’s Seventh Rule of Innovation:
“Sticking feathers up your butt does not make you a chicken.”
Tyler’s Eighth Rule of Innovation:
“This is your life, and it’s ending one minute at a time.”
Let me know how it works out for you.

Not just 3 or 4 in a small group. Everybody should be posting their goals, means of achieving those goals, possible obstacles, and support/advice for our fellow brothers and sisters! Evolution is what this whole thing is about. But evolution won't happen by accident or while we're sleeping. And it's almost impossible to make continual progress in a vacuum.

I can tell you, based on my experience in the small group on FB called THE WAY.
I've received several pm's from participants that have advised that they are only willing to share a limited amount of information about themselves. It's a matter of trust, comfort, and past-experience with online organizations.
This sort of thing takes time, even the last few weeks have proven to be steps in earning the trust of members.

Yes, and why not create a new part of the forum for that ?
My idea of small groups is because some would be reluctant to expose their privacy in a public forum, it's more easy in a small private group and because it would be a duty for participants to ask for regular reports.
Or we could do both, a new part of the forum and small groups for more privacy.
OK lucifersman666 but wait a moment it's under construction !
Don't worry, be happy, make efforts.
